Tenacious_Peaches Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 The season 5 finale was awesome, Kevvy. The island was revealed to be a spaceship and it flew out of the ocean to its home planet of Halfnakedstubblymen. Then it was revealed that all the island inhabitants actually died on the spaceship and they were in alien purgatory.
Uncle Joe Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Not to mention that the island itself was actually just off the coast of Nova Scotia.
TheLizard Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Last night was the best two hours of television ever. Period. No show has ever attempted to do something on the scale that Lost has. Holy crap.
BlueAngel Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Some answers, more questions and a hydrogen bomb detonation. Excellent finale, can't wait for the last season.
Tony Baloni Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 So I just watched all 5 seasons. Wow, this is the best thing TV has ever done. Anyone else think the soundtrack is amazing? It really goes above and beyond a lot of TV soundtracks. Everything about this show is awesome.
Tony Baloni Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Also!!! I just realized who plays Jacob. WHERES THE MONEY LEBOWSKI!!! Anybody else catch that?
Tony Baloni Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Yeah, my first guess was Steve McQueen. Then I remembered that he's been dead for 20 years. But if the island can bring Locke back to life, surely it could bring Bullitt back too..
Tony Baloni Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Correction. If guy #2 could take the form of Locke, surely he could take the form of Bullitt. As a matter of fact, I heard in season 6 Jacob comes back to life and gets in a car chase around the island.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Also!!! I just realized who plays Jacob. WHERES THE MONEY LEBOWSKI!!! Anybody else catch that? Ummm, me. 'Tis a combination of two of my favorite things in the world, yo. I can't believe you mainlined all five seasons in a week. Stellar. I still get the chills thinking of when Locke was looking into the hatch and the light came on. Holy f&^% nuggets, that was awesome. And also when Mr. Friendly had Jack, Sawyer and Locke in the jungle, he yelled, "Light 'em up!" and a circle of torches lit up out of nowhere. That scared the bejesus out of me. I am so excited for the last season but I am so sad because I will miss it so much.
Tony Baloni Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 Hahaha Mr. Friendly is such a funny character "I don't get off the island much, but when I do, I like to indulge. *smooch* ciao!"
TheLizard Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST Lost.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 2, 2010 Report Posted February 2, 2010 Holy frikkity freak frak! LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST LOST
Tony Baloni Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Namaste boys and girls! What'd you think?? I think when Jacob talked to Hurley, it was actually the anti Jacob.
TheLizard Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 I think it was real Jacob. Hurley is the only main character on the show we've seen Jacob reveal himself to in an honest manner. But I'm too mind-f**ked to go off on all the theories I now have. That was freaking amazing.
TheLizard Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Although it would make sense that that was anti-Jacob because anti-Jacob seems to only be able to work through dead people and anti-Jacob seems determined to get into that temple. So by having Sayid die in the temple, Sayid is then a conduit for anti-Jacob to get in there. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Tony Baloni Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 I thought about that too, but, he doesn't posses their bodies, he just imitates them (Locke's body was still in the casket). So he'd just need Sayid to die anywhere on the island in order to take his form, so why then the temple? Maybe if the person dies in the temple it gives them some special power or insight? And who the hell were all those people!? Were they supposed to be others?
TheLizard Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 Richard seemed to recognize the fireworks "oh crap we're in trouble" warning, and they freaked out when they found out Jacob is dead, so yes I'm guessing they're other others. I found Fu Manchu kind of cheesy, though.
BlueAngel Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 It seems Jacob has quite a few groups of people working for and taking directions from him, though I'm not sure how these Temple others fit in. Isn't the smoke monster's lair supposed to be under the Temple itself, so couldn't he rather easily get in? And since the monster is really the man who planned to kill Jacob and trying presumbably to kill any of his followers how safe would it be for them in there?
TheLizard Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 The smoke monster seems to reside in the walls around the temple, but since when they heard that it was coming they spread the ash around the temple, I don't think it's ever been allowed in the temple itself.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted February 3, 2010 Report Posted February 3, 2010 I cannot formulate a coherent thought as to how &^%$-ing awesome that was. I don't know what the hell is going on and I don't think I care. Hey BlueAngel, I'm glad we have another Lostie. You rock me sideways.
BlueAngel Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 ^Yep, totally addicted since day one.
