daslied Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 I'll be seeing The Wiggles. Can't f-ing wait.
Sweet Jane 61 Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 everyone sing along now....fruit salad...fruit salad...wish I could say I envy you das...but no...I have to watch them twice a day...that is enough!!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 I'm rather fond of "Hot Potato". If I send you a pair of my panties, will you throw them onstage for me?
daslied Posted November 16, 2005 Author Report Posted November 16, 2005 Going old school Wiggles, huh? Only if they're Underoos. Sorry, that was unintentionally a little disturbing.
RonJonSurfer Posted November 16, 2005 Report Posted November 16, 2005 I'm rather fond of "Hot Potato". If I send you a pair of my panties, will you throw them onstage for me? Yeah, right, he'll throw them on stage....they'll be in his scrap book..
_jr_ Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 So, it's the Wiggles now? When mine were 2-3 or so, it was Little Bear, Blues Clues, etc. If you had told me I'd know every character on Rug Rats, and actually had favorite ones, I'd have laughed.
daslied Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Blues Clues is still around, I think. But The Wiggles and Dora The Explorer seem to be the tops. If you'd have told me I'd know everything about 4 gigantic, 40-something children's performers I'd have cried. Ah, kids.
Jenny Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Is Amy around? She'll want to stow away in your trunk when you go. I just borrowed a CD by them. Samantha seemed partial to "Dancing with Wags the Dog", so have a dance to that one for us.
daslied Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 All stowaways are welcome. Ella loves that one, as well as every other one. The concert's 70 minutes, so hopefully it'll be hit-packed.
miamisammy29 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Ahhh...nothing makes a father more proud than when an eccentric, single, 40-year-old man takes an interest in his children. (I paraphrased Homer Simpson on that one.)
daslied Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Crap, I was afraid you'd find this thread.
miamisammy29 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Eh, I'm just teasin'. The Wiggles are cool....not as cool as the Boobahs, but they're allright.
daslied Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Ella has a Boobah spinning top toy. You launch the little dudes with a ton of force. I end up playing with it more than she does. Until your post I thought it was just a random toy; I didn't know there was a whole little culture. Since we're both getting less cool with each post in this thread I'll stop for now.
miamisammy29 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 And what's even less cool is the fact that I don't even have any kids.
miamisammy29 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Well, yeah, that's what I meant.
daslied Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Hey, where's the paternity test graemlin?
Sweet Jane 61 Posted November 18, 2005 Report Posted November 18, 2005 Have a wonderful time tonight Das....I know you will be singing along....teasing...but I do catch myself from time to time singing along...ahhhh...being a parent this is one of the perks...The Wiggles...LOL!! But I will admitt I do have a crush on Captain Feathersword!!
_jr_ Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Heck, I whistled the Rug Rats theme for three years!!!
daslied Posted November 21, 2005 Author Report Posted November 21, 2005 Everyone should go see The Wiggles. It was completely awesome. I thought Ella was going to stroke out a few times; she was really, really excited. She danced, sang, clapped and screamed. It was like a preschool Beatlemania thing.
Sweet Jane 61 Posted November 21, 2005 Report Posted November 21, 2005 I'm pleased to hear you and your little one had a great time. I am planning on taking Emily when they come around here...she gets so happy when they come on TV and just seems in a world all her own, which I do when I hear music I love. Rock on Wiggles!!
