So I´ll say Paul Rodgers, Bad Company... and I´m sure Sammy means Mick "Ralphs", not "Ronson"...

IT'S A CRUEL WORLD ! SORRY SAMMY. I'LL HAVE TO GIVE THE 5 POINTS TO EDNA'S TEAM, AND 2 TO YOU AND PEACHES. I think Edna deserves them, because she recognised Paul Rodgers (ex Free) first.

:coolio: CONGRATULATIONS EDNA & LAURIE.

Sorry about my "interest waning" comment. I had a bad day yesterday. Good to see the 3 Teams each getting Participation Points for all questions.

UPDATED POINTS (NOT including Participation Points for Q1-3).

Edna & Laurie 39

Katie & Joe 30

Peaches & Sammy 25

Shawna & Brad 3

QUESTIONS 1 AND 3 ARE CURRENT.

I'VE ADDED COMMENTS TO EACH AS SMALL CLUES !

QUESTION 1

These 3 Artists have all had Hits with something in common.

It's NOT lyrics, to save you searching. ALSO not to do with Titles in common.

Aretha Franklin

Chaka Khan

Pretenders

What do you think it is ?

A song by each of them featured in something.

.................................................

QUESTION 2 ANSWERED !

I ALWAYS say I'll never use quotations again, but this is a good one.

Elvis Presley had a lot of critics early in his career. We all know that.

In 1956, a celebrity and his wife (also a celebrity) were expecting their first child. When asked by a journalist if they had a name picked out, he said "We've decided what not to name it. I will never name the child Elvis".

WHO DO YOU THINK THE CELEBRITY COUPLE WERE ?

You're half right with a Movie Star.

..................................................

QUESTION 3

WHO'S THIS 60s GROUP ?

4.jpg

I reckon someone will know it !

Maybe "Contact A Friend" ??? They were better known in the U.K.

Question 2 - Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier?

:afro: :afro: :afro:

:coolio: CONGRATULATIONS SAMMY. YOU GOT IT.

The question was directed at Grace Kelly, but the Prince cut in with that comment. Caroline probably wouldn't have wanted to be called Elvis anyway. :)

Q1. Not THAT one Sammy.

Q3. Good try. They sure were much more popular in the U.K. They were a quartet though, not a trio.

;)

UPDATED POINTS (NOT including Participation Points for Q1 and Q3).

Edna & Laurie 40

Katie & Joe 31

Peaches & Sammy 30

Shawna & Brad 3

Question 1 - all had songs featured in "Bridget Jones' Diary"?

:afro: :afro: :afro:

:coolio: DONE IT AGAIN SAMMY ! PEACHES WILL BE PLEASED.

I thought one of the girls might have gotten that one. I know some who've seen that Chick Flick a few times. Once was enough for me, but it had a great soundtrack.

;)

Aretha Franklin / Respect

Chaka Khan / I'm Every Woman

Pretenders / Don't Get Me Wrong
