Kevin Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Tonight, for whatever reason ( the god's were smiling), club quattro, just had Bowie show up as Fergus ,The Angry Scott ! No one was expecting it, a casual club~1,000 max.(packed) ! Played a half-hour set (Ashes to Ashes/ Changes/ Loving the Alien/ China Girl/ Cat-People/ I'm Afraid of Americans). Too much ! I love Japan--sometimes ! :guitar:
Earth-Angel Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 Wow, Kevin! That is an awesome surprise! Once in a lifetime I guess.
Kevin Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 Ea, what was REALLY funny, was that I would say 75 +% didn't know who he was -- but screamed just the same ! Most were there for a night of DJ ing (J-Pop/poop) and couldn't care less, nor knew what happened. A lot of video cameras, though, so should turn up somewhere...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 That is so cool...shut up! :: I was supposed to see Bowie back in the 80s but I got in trouble and couldn't go to the concert. I'm still upset about it.
Uncle Joe Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 That is so cool...shut up! :: I was supposed to see Bowie back in the 80s but I got in trouble and couldn't go to the concert. I'm still upset about it. Upset about what? Getting into trouble or missing the concert? Uh, just what did you do to get into trouble? Juicy details expected.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 I'm upset about not going to the concert. I don't remember what I did, but I do remember the punishment did not fit the crime. It probably had something to do with my smart mouth. Surprise, huh?
SoulGirl Posted December 16, 2004 Report Posted December 16, 2004 i was supposed to see him this summer but he cancelled cos of his illness. we'll get there one day peachy........
Kevin Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 Don't fret ! Big world tour next year ! I imagine he may have been scouting sites... !? :guitar: "Believing the strangest things,... loving the alien..."
RonJonSurfer Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I was lucky enough (and therfore old enough) to see the Ziggy Stardust Tour in 1972 (I think). I was 14 and snuck in to New York (told Mom and Dad I was going to friends house). It was amazing...and Bowie is still kicking butt 30 plus years later. ::
