OLD 55
We never had a CD player in the car until we bought a new car recently. (Our old tapes will probably never get listened to now). It's a 6 stacker and our choice of CD will probably make many of you laugh. I'm wondering what music do other people choose to play in their car/s? Here's our current 6 - all "Best Of" compilations: Billy Vaughn & His Orchestra And Chorus Henry Mancini Movie Music Themes Fleetwood Mac The Bee Gees The Eagles Dusty Springfield Anthology

OLD 55
oh ,old 55, definately get yourself a Depeche Mode compilation ; "flies on the windscreen " will take on a whole new meaning as you're barrelling through Queensland... Oops, Damn ! Another koala ! Kangaroos Mate! They cause accidents that kill people and cause millions of dollars damage to vehicles every year on country roads. I won't drive "in the bush" around Dawn or Dusk (they're around then). We travel 1800 Km/ 1100 miles a couple of times a year to see our oldest daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren in a North West Queensland mining town where they live. Jussst clipped a big roo once. Saw him start out from the other side of the road and eased the brakes on so we wouldn't roll the car.
Jimmy1104
Today I have in the car: Elvis's Greatest Hits (double CD) Who's Next - The Who Kenny Roger's Greatest Hits Soundtrack from Top Gun Brain Salad Surgery - Emerson, Lake and Palmer .....and a homemade CD of 70's hits (20 songs) I usually rotate my CD's out of the car every week. With the number of CD's I own and the driving time to work (20 minutes each way 3 times a week) I believe it would take me somewhere in the neighborhood or 7 - 10 years to get through all of them. Addictedtoclassic
Right in front of the door where I sit comfortably in my cubicle here at work in good old Minneosta I keep them in a CD case for easy storage, but it does make for easier stealing if anyone really wanted to do it. But I hope my alarm deters them from doing that. Besides, my car is too old for anyone to really look at to consider breaking in to. Most cars that get broken in to are newer or are Honda's... Addictedtoclassic
I hate to say this, because I know there are a lot of people here who disagree, but I'm not really a Rolling Stones fan. I feel their music is a little too pop-like for me (which is hard to say because I like The Beatles and they were a little pop-like as well). My biggest issue with the Rolling Stones is that a lot of their songs sound alike. That's not to say they made bad music, not by far, I just don't prefer to listen to them. Kevin
"Abbey Road" -- you don't need any others ,really. Play it in a contiuous loop until you've decided either the Beatles are prophets from god or your mind is about to break --- should cover 1200 km (or your money back). Remember , though, when you get there; don't hurt them, after all, you did this to yourself and.... you're bloody pleased about it , too ! :: "One sweet dream ...came true... today..." Oh, Sammy, you can't top that...'Beatle bastards ,eh ?'..

Addictedtoclassic
I spend anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day. Not a lot on my book, but I like to have variety in my car. It's hard to hear the songs you like on the radio. Plus I have almost 56 hours of music loaded onto my computer at work that I listen too while I'm at my desk. Music is my escape from reality. It helps me to relieve stress and anger and even sometimes sadness.
