Joe, at our age, the extra year alone might be worth the effort.

Heh heh heh. I gave up smoking, drinking and amateur dramatics until I realised that I wasn't going to live any longer - but it would sure as hell feel longer :haveabeer:

I'm pretty sure that's damn near impossible.

Probably, but let's lower the bar. How about someone who sold 10 million as a solo act, then sold another 10 mil as a member of a group?

This might be a stretch, but what about Joe Walsh?

I know he was in James Gang first, but they only really had one big album and I wouldn't be surprised if he sold more as a solo artist and then a bunch with The Eagles

Does anybody know how many records the Traveling Wilburys have sold? Maybe Dylan or Petty could meet that mark.

Great guess, Tim. Certainly Dylan, Harrison and Orbison have topped 10 mil record sales as soloists.

Also The Three Tenors all meet the criteria as previous soloists; and I would guess the group is responsible of over 10 mil worldwide sales, as well.
