Shawna
"Please welcome Juan into your pearly gates. He was a good boy." Signed, Epstein's Mother. I loved Robert Hegyes. I'm so sad.
Carl
Juan Epstein was one of the greatest TV characters ever created. He didn't have a specific catchphrase, but I loved how he would give notes to Kotter that were signed "Epstein's Mother."

RonJonSurfer
He was a local guy. Born in the same hospital as me. When Kotter hit it was great to know somebody from the area was in the show. He took the Chico Marx persona and made it a TV classic character. Uncle Joe
Makes me wonder whatever became of Lawrence Hilton Jacobs and Ron Polillo (sp?)...or Gabe Kaplan for that matter. Last time I saw Kaplan he was a commentator on the poker channel...no joke. Ay yo, Mr. Kah-TEHRRR! Google, here I come.
Earth-Angel
I wasn't sure if the subject of the thread was an actual sentence or if I was on acid No idea about the show, but it's always sad to see a loss of talent. RIP Mr Hegyes.
