Lucky
Before we go any further, we need to make a quick announcement regarding next week ... it's time for a special, and we (the team) have decided next week will be: Special Top Ten ~ Instrumentals Start thinking about your noms. Edited November 15, 2010 by Guest #240 will follow in two weeks.
pinkstones
Do the instrumentals have to have not made the TT before or can we nominate songs that have?
TheLizard
All instrumentals will be allowed. The lists of songs that have already made it do not apply to special top tens. No Feelings - Sex Pistols (1977) Let Spirits Ride - Black Mountain (2010)

With all due politeness and respect, I'm sitting this one out. I hate instrumentals.

RockyRaccoon
Do the instrumentals have to be written within the past 50 years? Or can I nominate Beethoven's 5th?
OLD 55
Ben wouldn't know it, but we've been through all that before in the early Top Tens. Lucky and Team, how about Instrumentals that have been in the U.S. or U.K. Charts from the 50s to now Or at least released as Singles - not 'unknown to most' Album Tracks. Otherwise we're going to get all sorts of weird and wonderful excerpts from Movie, TV themes, classical, etc. etc. And I know I should put this in the 'Suggestions For Specials' Thread, but how about developing your "Battle Of The Bands" idea Lucky ? edna
"I Love To Love (But My Baby Just Likes To Dance)" - Tina Charles - 1976 "Hey,St.Peter" - Flash & The Pan - 1978 I also think just instrumentals is quite wide... but I already have my two noms... edna
The Night Before ~ The Beatles (1965) Of course, this one has my vote I think it's fair to nominate Beatles... there are some of their songs I'd never vote for but others that I love (most of them... )
OLD 55
Yes, and why not ? There's some Beatles' songs I'd never vote for. And where do you stop when you decide to rule out voting for certain Artists ? But that's a private choice. I choose to vote for it also. (You've got me singing it now, Laurie).
