Harmonica songs

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

You might know I play the harmonica, and I noticed some of you do too. I'm looking for some nice songs/cool riffs to play.

I only own a diatonic harp in C, so I'm mainly looking for songs in C or G.

So far I got this small list:

Piano Man - Billy Joel

Hoochie Coochie man - Muddy Waters

Once upon a time in the west (main theme)

Not much indeed :P

Thanks for your help :)

I'll give you some songs I know that have harmonica in them, Visine, but I don't have the time to find out what key they are in, too.

I'll let you figure that out.

"Run Through The Jungle" - Creedence Clearwater Revival

"You Don't Know How It Feels" - Tom Petty

"Mary Jane's Last Dance" - Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers

"City Girls" - Roger Clyne And The Peacemakers

"Feelin' Alright" - Roger Clyne And The Peacemakers

"Ashes Of San Miguel" - Roger Clyne And The Peacemakers

"Long Train Runnin'" - The Doobie Brothers (Nice harmonica solo in this song)

"Roadhouse Blues" - The Doors

"I Should Have Known Better" - The Beatles

I don't know the keys either but ....

Room to Move - John Mayall

My Babe - Little Walter (in fact, check out the entire Little Walter library)

Baby What You Want Me To Do - Jimmy Reed (at around 1:10)

I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry - Steve Hardin w/ Glen Campbell (don't laugh, the harmonica is great)

Neither are harmonica only, but great harmonica parts:

Train Train - Blackfoot

If You Wanna Get To Heaven - Ozark Mountain Daredevils
