blind-fitter
There's No Way Out Of Here - David Gilmour (1978) Can we get David into the TT this week? Got enough PF, maybe some of his solo work can finally be represented. Bear in mind that some of us had to take part in this contest for years before we even saw a song from our favourite decade make the chart. We all have our favourite artists, but personally, if I regularly felt the need to plead on behalf of mine, I'd be worried about appearing undignified. MindCrime
Bear in mind that some of us had to take part in this contest for years before we even saw a song from our favourite decade make the chart. What an agonizing pain it was too. ...and I agree, this is merely nothing more than a popularity contest based on public opinion. A certain song making it on here, doesn't make it any better than the choices that went unnoticed.
edna
...and I agree, this is merely nothing more than a popularity contest... In fact, this is NOT a popularity contest...

edna
Because we decide together what songs will go to the TT... voters and nominations change as the years go by... this is democracy
Farin
one could claim that democracy is nothing more than a popularity contest as well I think Kenne just wanted to say that the Top Tens aren't about the objective quality of the songs, but about personal taste, and I agree with that
