Kevin
Check it out ; believe it ? http://new.music.yahoo.com/aerosmith/news/aerosmiths-joe-perry-steven-tyler-has-quit--61996054
MindCrime
If they try to replace him, they're going to suck. They've done all they can do and prove. It would be best for the band to just call it quits at this point.
TheLizard
Aerosmith is not Aerosmith if you take out one member of the band, especially Steven Tyler. This sucks.
RonJonSurfer
Tyler should retire and go take care of his health issues. It has been a while since I considered Aerosmith a viable rock band.
TheLizard
I saw them live a few years ago, they were most certainly a viable rock band. Apparently they're going to try and replace him. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Carl
I think Tyler is an irreplaceable lead singer. Can you imagine a year from now going to Aerosmith's website and there's no mention of him? All promotional photos will have Perry out front and Gary Cherone or somebody they found on YouTube behind him. If the other 4 guys want to keep playing, how about forming a new group? Farin
Aerosmith's 'Steven Tyler quit' comment 'misquoted', says Joey Kramer
RockyRaccoon
I mean, even if he did quit, Joe Perry quit Aerosmith for a while back in the 80s I believe and then came back. So you never know.

Farin
Aerosmith's Steven Tyler 'wants to take two years off' "Despite Tyler insisting that he will not leave the band, lead guitarist Joe Perry has refused to rule out the possibility of finding a replacement singer"
TheLizard
If they find a new singer and still call it Aerosmith, I will lose all respect for Joe Perry.
TheLizard
Rolling Stone can confirm that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has entered a rehab facility to treat an addiction to prescription painkillers. “With the help of my family and team of medical professionals I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford,†the singer said in a statement. In an exclusive statement to Rolling Stone, Tyler also addressed his bandmates’ recent allegations that he demanded a two-year break from the group: “I wish to set the record straight and say that I have read reports of a rumored two-year hiatus and want to be clear that this is completely false and I will enthusiastically be writing, recording and performing with Aerosmith as soon as things are handled.†So he's back in rehab. How do you go so long sober and then fall off again?
miamisammy29
So he's back in rehab. How do you go so long sober and then fall off again? You continuously lie about it.
Batman
As far as I can tell this is about as big a deal as Eugene Levy deciding he's not going to do American Pie movies anymore.
miamisammy29
Noooooo! How can I ever watch another American Pie spin-off again?! I've seen all 72 of them! Eugene Levy?...he's Stiffler's Brother, right?
MuzikTyme
Oh my, not another draw-the line-night-in the ruts scenario with Perry soloing and Tyler screaming, "lightning strikes. . . again!" Yodel-hey-yodel-aye-yodel-lay-she-who!?
