Lea 0
To be honest I never watch sports except for the Olympics and that's only if DH is willing. He usually isn't I'm sure any input from me on the Halftime shows would be less then useful. Excellent topic by the way
Lucky 5
I wouldn't even mind seeing Ed. Edited January 18, 2009 by Guest
Lea 0
Cute I think I remember watching that show when the cute litte mouse was on it. I might even have to watch the game if the Halftime show had something like that to entertain me
Steel2Velvet 0
Because a longtime Elton John fan, I watched a bit of his special last night on PPV cable, Elton John in Rio. After about 15 minutes, saw all I wanted of "Elton the Baritone." He sang Rocket Man and it just isn't even close without the falsetto - which he can no longer achieve. I prefer to keep my memories of his great talent, rather than accept his past work in his present state. As for Superbowl halftime; I'd love to see a Go Gos reunion. Rip it up, girls! Wyld Card 5
If Freddie Mercury were still alive, then Queen would be the ultimate band, they pull it off with Paul Rodgers, but it wouldn't be as good.
RonJonSurfer 15
If football has replaced baseball as our national pastime and The Super Bowl is nearly a national holiday...I would love a good old blues show. What honors our past more than that? BB King, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter...fill the stage with 'em. That is something I would watch, enjoy and remember. With that said, the network execs would never go this route...not enough star appeal I guess. they did a Blues Brothers show (maybe ten years ago), but that ain't the blues. Shawna 1
Presenting: the resulting halftime show article!! Thank you guys all so much for your help in getting this info together. Even though I wasn't able to use ALL the ideas, they all were terrific. Special thanks to the Top Ten Team for getting it all started and for giving me the final list. You guys are the waffles under my maple syrup.

Steel2Velvet 0
Very well written, Shawna! Impressive work. Almost makes me want to watch the Superbowl.
Wyld Card 5
I know this is well over with, but another band I think would put on a truly legendary Super Bowl performance, is the Eagles. They're America's biggest selling act (that are still alive) and have quite a few classics they could perform.
_Laurie_ 11
That would be cool MC...and Joe Walsh would rock the place that's for sure!
