MuzikTyme Posted March 14, 2010 Report Posted March 14, 2010 Space Station #9- Montrose :guitar: That's a killer song, chutzpah! But isn't it #5 ? Montrose was one of the best bands I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing live. Funny, Golden Earring opened for them and I'll say they WERE the best opening band I've EVER seen in concert. The only other opening band that compares IMHO was Van Halen opening for Black Sabbath back in '77. (Van Halen hadn't released their debut self-titled album. The audience and myself were completely flabbergasted! We weren't expecting an unheard of opening band completely rock the house down)! I never saw so many standing ovations (performed in a seated mosque) for almost every song played by all four bands! They were my favourite two shows of all time . . . so far. :guitar:
