Ashley Rae
Gotta throw in my country suggestions. There's More To Me Than You~Jessica Andrews I spent years and all of this time Thinking I was better off 'cause you were mine You always said it was your way or the highway So I'm shiftin' my life into drive I'm getting out, kissin' the past goodbye Like Toby said "How do you like me now?" This conversation has run dry And I keep telling myself Oooh, Oooh, there's more to me than you Oooh, Oooh, don't understimate what I can do Well I'm alright, It's okay I know I'll make it through 'Cause there's more to me than you I'm not sayin' I'm battered and bruised But I might as well be with the words you use I believe in myself and that makes me stronger Things change, so have I I'm gonna make hay while the sun still shines You can clip my wings, I'm still gonna fly I'm on my own and I'm on my way And I keep telling myself Oooh, Oooh, there's more to me than you Oooh, Oooh, don't understimate what I can do Well I'm alright, It's okay I know I'll make it through 'Cause there's more to me than you There was always something that meant more to you than me And I'm just sorry it's taken this for you to see Oooh, Oooh, there's more to me than you Oooh, Oooh, don't understimate what I can do Well I'm alright, It's okay I know I'll make it through 'Cause there's more to me than you Or I'm Movin' on~Rascal Flatts I've dealt with my ghosts And faced all my deamons Finally content with the past I regret I found you find strenght in your moments of weakness For once I'm at peace with my self I've benn burdened with blame Traped in the past for too long I'm movin on I've lived in this place And I know all the faces Each one is different But they're always the same They mean me no harm But it's time that I face it They'll never allow me to change But I never dreamed Home would end up where I don't belong I'm movin on I'm moving on At last I can see (Last I can see) Life has been patiently waiting for me And I know there's no guarentees But I'm not alone There comes at time In everyones life When all you can see Are the years passing by (are the years passing by) And I have made up my mind That those days are gone I've sold what I could Packed what I couldn't Stopped to fill up on my way out of town I've loved like I should But lived like I shouldn't I had to loose everything to find out. Maybe forgiveness will find me somewhere down this road I'm Moving on I'm moving on I'm moving on Hope it's not too late to help ya... ~*Ash*~

LeeBB
Hi Unseen, In my never-ending quest to answer all questions with a Beatles' song, I give you: Here Comes The Sun It's not directly about moving on, but it is about things getting better, and one of my eternal faves. But here's something very different: Beethoven String Quartet 15 in A minor (Op. 132), 3rd movement. Beethoven wrote this after recovering from a long and near-fatal illness. An impossibly perfect musical re-telling of his awakening from darkness to light. Not difficult, not high-fallutin'. Just beautiful. Hope you and your friend like them, and that things really are looking up, LeeBB

Farin
that's not a symphony, I can tell you that much... I know the melody from a German "schlager", but I'll have to think and search a bit to remember more

I know that I know the song, but for the life of me I can't seem to remember any of the (german) lyrics - which is crucial for finding the name and artist on the internet sorry, Schlager aren't my strong suit

MuzikTyme
Here's one that never failed to give me the get-up-and-go to put past things aside and look forward to a brighter future . . . I've Found Someone of My Own ~ Free Movement I got up this morning While I was having my coffee My woman came in, sat down by my side With tears in her eyes She said I´ve a confession to make I said Woman, speak what´s on your mind She said I´ve found somebody new To take your place I said don´t feel so all alone I´ve found someone of my own All those lonely nights You left me all alone My true love would call And talk to me on the phone´ I said ´Woman, if that´s the way it´s gotta be Then darlin, don´t you worry about me She said I´ve found somebody new To take your place I said don´t feel so all alone I´ve found someone of my own I got up from the table Reached down and wiped the tears From her face I put out my cigarette Turned and walked away She said I´ve found somebody new To take your place I said don´t feel so all alone I´ve found someone of my own.
