edna Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I´m such a modern girl... I´m trying to get some friend to download, copy or buy "Dylanesque" - Bryan Ferry for me...
Farin Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 edit: D'you reckon this sorta thing should be a new thread or do we have enough of those running around? ^ good question, I could see us having such a thread < but I would also be content to post them here, I guess v and your opinion?
Viaene Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I say make one or change this topic's title like Fin just did with me, we can advise others when they considering to buy something but aren't sure. We can put our wishlists up, we can express our likings about certain albums,..
Farin Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 What album, dvd, book and/or other music-related-stuff do you want? Make your list here and as and when you do get something, you can cross it off Go wild!
Farin Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 like a list (or an item or two) of music related stuff you want to have... I guess you could start it with "dear Santa" if you want though
Rock4Life Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 My grandparents technically got me "Guns N' Roses Greatest Hits" for my birthday, but I know they've never heard of them. They just made sure it was okay with my Mom.
cadillacranch Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 I went on a shopping spree a few days ago. Coldplay: Living la Vida or Death and all his friends Johnny Cash: 'American V: A Hundred Highways', 'At Folsom Prison' and 'At San Quentin'. Judas Priest: 'The Essential Judas Priest' Oasis: What's the Story, Morning Glory
Viaene Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 Oasis: What's the Story, Morning Glory like me, the 3,95 euros deal with that newspaper?
Viaene Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 well, there's this deal where you can collect 15 cd's that were breakthrough albums for the artists. first one was 3,95 the other 14 are 6,95
Levis Posted June 22, 2008 Author Report Posted June 22, 2008 But... Definitely Maybe was a MUCH bigger breakthrough for Oasis But hmm... they only reached the US through Wonderwall, so, okay, I allow it
Viaene Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 I think 18 million sales compared to 7,5 million is quite a breakthough
Levis Posted June 22, 2008 Author Report Posted June 22, 2008 Hey don't knock Definitely Maybe... it became the fastest selling debut in the UK when it was released!
Viaene Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 I'm not knocking it down, it's just a conclusion that Morning Glory sold twice as much copies and therefore gave them international recognition
Levis Posted June 22, 2008 Author Report Posted June 22, 2008 I said that But I think on their home turf Definitely Maybe is seen as the stronger album (probably cos it was such a good debut).
Ombre Vivante Posted June 22, 2008 Report Posted June 22, 2008 3.95€? I want such newspaper deals too! I could probably get that for $3.95 Thank god for the economic mismanagement of our govt.: some things are really cheap AND affordable on our lowly wages
