Does ANYONE know of any decent concerts coming to Nova Scotia? PLEASE HELP. YOU GUYS RULE AND I'M DESPERATE!!!1
  2. In case Mike's description was inadequate Mark Knopfler was Dire Straits guitarist and lead singer, inspired by the one and only Bob Dylan.
  3. If Van Halen came anywhere near where I live(which they won't) I would see them regardless of te singer. Eddie and Alex Van Halen RULE
  4. Jimi Hendrix on lead guitar, Billy Sheehan on bass, Robert Plant on vocals,(Led Zeppelin) Rick Wright on keys,(Pink Floyd) Ginger Baker on drums,(Cream) Eric Clapton on rythme guitar.
  5. I would say that the british invasion isn't really a genre or style(same with singer/songwriter
  6. Does anyone know the story of Layla bym eric Clapton? This is what it means. George Harrison, guitarist of the Beatles once met a groupie named Patsy Boyd. She loved him and he loved her. However, George was out of town a lot and while he was, he asked his best friend, Eric Clapton, to take her out into town. He did this a few times, and when George came home from his tour, he was into meditating and spirituality. So while Patsy wanted to party, George was locked up in his room. Clapton took her out a few more times and they fell madly in love with each other. She divorced Harrison and married Clapton. During thetime before George knew, He wrote a song about her named Layla because that was her pet name. A few months later George Harrison shows up at the weding. When asked if he was sad or angry at Clapton, he said, 'I'd rather her be happy than be with an idiot'. Ironically enough she and Clapton divorced a few years later.
  7. Mine is the cover of Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here. Dark Side Of The Moon is my favorite album, but I love the Man On Fire (Wish You Were Here is also one of three of my all-time fav songs)

  13. We've done every other instrument, so now we'll discuss the best of something lacking in music today. Who are the greatest pianists of all-time? IMO Rick Wakeman, Richard Wright the guy from Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.(name?)
  14. I would have to agree with Sheehan being one of the greatest bassists of all-time. Like I said, it reminded me Of pink Floyd, especially the bass work(I love Roger Waters) it was great.
  15. I doubt if rock n' roll will EVER be fully developed.

  21. HAHAHAHAHHA well put.exactly what I was thinking
  22. You see, that really isn't fair. John Lennon was a mere rythme guitarist. Now if you said George Harrison, that's another story. I like George Harrison's Guitar work more than I like Keith Richards. I'd definetly pick the Beatles.Sgt. Pepper's is my #2 all-time album
