  1. I used to have 'Friday Night in San Fransisco' with Al, Paco, and John McLaughlin. It opened with this cut. An awesome cd. 3 guys and their guitars.
  2. Oh my. Where to begin. First of all,"neck tapping" is actually called "hammer-ons". And Edgar Winter's 'Frankenstein' has hammer-ons in it. AND, my misinformed friend, it came out 5 years before Eruption. So clearly, it is you that doesn't know what you're talking about. Do some research, indeed. But, then again, simply by stressing SPEED , you proved you don't have a clue about what a great guitarist is all about. Oh, and also, Malmsteen is a one note wonder, who relies on six (count em', six) different little effects boxes on his foot board to give the illusion he's something special. He's ordinary. I stood 10 feet from him and watched this phenomenom in person, so I know what I'm talking about. He's all smoke and mirrors. And finally, your grammar and spelling are both equally atrocious. Usually, that sort of thing is ignored, but since you decided to come in here with your six shooters drawn, I figured I'd let you know you aren't the quickest gun in here.
  3. If you take the first three verses, and STOP at "Walk away", you've got something special right there. Those three verses stand alone, and say everything. It's very, very good.
  4. I have to be honest. The title 'Notion of the Ocean', just seems, I don't know....too...'unthought out'. It's like that was the first thing that popped into your head. It's too much the obvious choice, or the easy way out. As far as the poem, I like it. It's a little rambling and scattered, and not to be nit-picky, but there are grammatical mistakes. 'To', instead of 'too'. 'your', where it should be 'you're'. Those are minor and easily fixed, though. Don't take my word for it, though. I don't know poetry. I don't 'get' a lot of what I read, poetry wise. Wait for one of our poets to read it.
  5. If you actually vote for this Idol show, then you should post the fact in the dork thread.
  6. Said the guy two years younger than me.
  7. A revealing biography? You mean there is something we don't already know?
  8. We dorks have to look out for one another. Luckily, we have guys like Sammy around as a bodyguard.
  9. Hilarious, indeed. Getting on us about scaring off n00bs.
  10. Exactly. Ruined the song for me forever.
  11. You two should just pick one. Who's gonna know?
  12. Here is an interesting Song Fact about this song: My Mom tells me I was concieved while this song played in the background. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!
  13. A one post wonder, I suppose. Shadow, quit following us around.
  14. Here are some I found at lyricsdownload. I don't know if they help at all: Lord of the Rings songs BTW, Elvis did Change of Hobbit.
  15. I wouldn't go to AOL for anything. Not even at gunpoint. YOU GO TO AOL!!
  16. I agree with big man. I used to have kazaa lite (illegally), and there was a lot of crap and partial recordings. Also, there would be song that would be interrupted by this loud screeching. I aced that, and installed limewire. Free, and legal. It's set up took a little getting used to, because I was so used to kazaa, but it's shared file's quality is 100 times better. I have yet to get a bad download from there.
  17. The only problem I have with it is Pink has the double green underline, and yet, Pink Floyd doesn't. Blasphemous.
  18. The horn solo on 'Penny Lane' is cool. I forget the name of what kind of horn it is, tough.
  19. Oh boy. Now it's on. I can't wait to get up tomorrow and check this thread out.
  20. Speaking of which, the kazoo solo in Queen's 'Seaside Rendezvous' is cool, too.
