  1. Angus Young. His lead solos have a clear quality. Not a lot of blurry scrubbing. Crisp, clean notes. Sharp.
  2. Godzilla wouldn't stand a chance against this guy:
  3. James Brown? The James Brown?
  4. One of my favorites! * Musical Interlude* He rides 'er low on the hip, on the side he's got Bound For Glory in red, white and blue flash paint. He leans on the hood telling racing stories, the kids call him Jimmy The Saint Well that blaze and noise boy, he's gunnin' that bitch loaded to blastin' point He rides head first into a hurricane and disappears into a point And there's nothin' left but some blood where the body fell That is, nothin' left that you could sell just junk all across the horizon, a real highwayman's farewell And I said "Hey kid, you think that's oil ? Man, that ain't oil that's blood." I wonder what he was thinking when he hit that storm or was he just lost in the flood ? That's not the whole song, just my favorite part.
  5. I read this in the paper. It said he did 6 songs. Can you imagine? Sitting in the airport and hearing Springsteen and his acoustic? I wonder what songs he did.

    Fluff Punk

That's what it is. Punk Lite. LOL.
  7. Not a problem. And you shouldn't smoke like that. It'll kill you.
  8. Buckcherry song titles. Click on the song to get the lyrics. I don't know anything about them, myself. Maybe a more educated Songfactor might be able to help you further.

Guilty as charged. :: But I also know I have heard enough of it to stick to my opinion.

    LIVE 8

It's just my opinion. Not everyone will agree. I don't think rap is music. It's poetry with a beat, if I had to call it anything. It's not melodic, doesn't have any arrangement, no bridge, etc. It's just boom, boom, boom, with lyrics lyrics over it.
  11. I think they held their own among the heavyweights.
  12. 6. I'm a genius when it comes to counting the letter F
  13. Jealousy is an ugly thing. I predicted I'd have my name announced, and I did. Deal with it, boys.

Nah. Rap isn't music. It's an art form, but it's not music.

I suppose my issue with it is, just how much artistic value does it have?

I couldn't say Rach. but at what point does it stop being artistic, and become just plain vulgar?

I think that's a little different. Those are lyrics in the song. Artistic license only goes so far, then it's just swearing for the sake of looking like an idiot.
  18. You know, the tides are starting to turn in my house. My kids are 10 now, and they are discovering music. My daughter moreso than my son. Ever since they were small, I would always let them pick what we would listen to in the car when I would take them somewhere. So now, my kids are turning dear old dad onto some of their stuff. It all has the same quality of sound. Kind of punk, but more melodic and not really malicious. I'm not sure of all the bands, so maybe you folks can help me out. I know the Green Day when I hear it. They're easily identifiable. Let's see....what else...oh, there's Stacy's Mom. I like that one. It's catchy. Riot Girl is cool. There's one band that does two songs, 1985 and another one that I like, but the name escapes me now. Kryptonite is good. There's another one I forget the name but the chorus is "I almost had you", where all the lines are "I almost did this", "I almost did that", etc, etc. I like that one, too. I am not good with the names, but those are some of the ones I like. Fluff Punk, right? Anyone know any other stuff along these lines?
  19. This isn't a problem (well, it doesn't bother me, anyway), but my pm thing is empty, but it says I have 2 pms. I didn't know if that was worth mentioning, or if it might be part of something else, or whatever. Some sort of glitch.

Who are the morons who decided to put a couple of MTV idiots on to interrupt vitually every song? I was listening to/ watching P.F., and right in the middle of the song, here are these two tools telling me I'm witnessing music history. NO, I'M NOT!!! I'M WATCHING TWO IRRELEVANT BARNACLES ON THE MUSIC OF LIFE TALK OVER ONE OF THE MOST WELL CRAFTED ROCK SONGS OF ALL TIME!!! Who's bright idea was this? They should have just let us listen to the music. Screw all those MTV 'hip' people, and just keep the cameras on the reason everyone is watching...the artists. Anyway, I feel better. I missed it until around 4 pm. (Working). But what I did see, I enjoyed. A few random thoughts: I'm not so sure Destiny's Child wasn't lip sincing. Stevie Wonder was awesome. You know, for a blind guy, I can't ever remember a time when Stevie didn't look sharp. Is a song any good when you repeat your own name in the song repeatedly? (Snoop Dogg) Rob Thomas has a pretty good voice. Note to George Michael: It's 2005, not 1985. Ditch the State Trooper sunglasses. I like Jet Note to Slash: It's 2005, not 1985. Ditch the hat and the dangling smoke. Overall, I really enjoyed the 4 hours or so that I saw. Good music, a wide variety. That's probably the most tv I've watched in a row in 10 years or better. (not counting sports)
  22. Kinda like trying to see the light go out in the fridge when you close the door....
  23. I am: songfactor1@yahoo.com I think everyone should make an address like that. LOL. SF1, SF2, etc. Like the Stepford wives.
