Ombre Vivante
Oh, s**t! I just lost a 10 dollar bet with my brother that Milla Jovovich wasn't in Luc Besson's The 5th Element. I coulda sworn it was another model-actress who starred in it. I actually pride myself in knowing this junk and someone half my age put me in my place at something so easy to recall. Shawna
A Tucson police officer was killed in the line of duty yesterday morning. With great personal relief, I note that it wasn't my nephew. They were friends, however, and it drives home just what a sacrifice these people make on our behalf every day of their lives. So for folks like Marc, I salute you. MarcM
Shawna, give my condolences to your nephew on the loss of his brother. It will be 5 years in 2 months that I lost one of my partners that was a good friend. It is something that is always in the back of my head. In the 18+ years I have been "on the job", there have been 16 deputies killed in the line of duty. 5 of them I have known personally. I still think about you, Steve. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Los_Angeles_County_Sheriff%27s_Department_officers_killed_in_the_line_of_duty
