Batman
My last opinion on the subject is this: songwriting isn't dead, and neither is emotion.

johnny
And let's leave it at that. Thank you very much Johnny. Yes, I admit I created something I could not stop.... But the subject would've come up sometime so at least I got it over with....
Shawna
and neither is emotion. lyrical interlude: Emotion Samantha Sang (with heavy, heavy help by the Brothers Gibb) It's over and done But the heartache lives on inside And who's the one you're clinging to Instead of me tonight And where are you now Now that I need you Tears on my pillow Wherever you go I'll cry me a river That leads to your ocean You never see me fall apart In the words of a broken heart It's just emotion that's taken me over Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul But if you don't come back Come home to me, darling You know that There'll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight Goodnight, goodnight I'm there at your side I'm part of all the things you are But you've got a part of someone else You go to find your shining star And where are you now Now that I need you Tears on my pillow Wherever you go I'll cry me a river That leads to your ocean You never see me fall apart In the words of a broken heart It's just emotion that's taken me over Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul But if you don't come back Come home to me, darling You know that There'll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight Goodnight And where are you now Now that I need you Tears on my pillow Wherever you go I'll cry me a river That leads to your ocean You never see me fall apart In the words of a broken heart It's just emotion that's taken me over Tied up in sorrow, lost in my soul But if you don't come back Come home to me, darling You know that There'll be nobody left in this world to hold me tight Nobody left in this world to kiss goodnight
Ombre Vivante
My last opinion on the subject is this: songwriting isn't dead, and neither is emotion. I think I heard someone yell this at an illegal dog fight and it distracted the dog I was betting on! Anyway, let's face it, today's music manages to do two opposite things at the same time: it manages to suck and to blow.

Levis
I'll start again... this time there probably won't be many interruptions since everyone's had their 'last words' but I'll be brief. If you think today's music is (objectively) worse than music that's older, then you are very badly mistaken. If it simply doesn't appeal to you then, eh... whatever. More for me. Okay, all done. Ombre Vivante
This is like discussing if god exists or if apples are better than oranges... It is written in Revelations that the man shall be beset and plagued by music that bloweth and sucketh
