Ha! For a change, here are voices I've confused:

- Chris Isaak with Andy McCluskey (of OMD): If it weren't for their distinctive instrumentation (OMD being a thoroughly enjoyable Synthpop band), it would be a little difficult to tell their voices apart.

- Bryan Ferry and David Sylvian sound strikingly similar. Someone who isn't familiar with their music wouldn't be able to tell them apart.

- Sometimes Martin L. Gore sounds like David Gahan. They're both in the same band too.

Janis Joplin and David Bowie are a couple I haven't seen mentioned yet.

Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon is a song I can instantly recognize, as soon as it starts. As well as Signs by the Five Man Electrical Band.

Oh yeah, Michael Stipe without a doubt(though he does have several different 'vocal types')

Lets see definately Tom Petty, he's got a very distinctive voice(and I like it!) and plus Mike Cambell's guitar style is very definitive.

You should try listening to "The Drowning" by Christian Death. Rozz Williams manages to sometimes sound like David Bowie. Miguel Bose also sounds a bit like David Bowie - and he's just as strange and bizarre too :beatnik:
