edna
Thank God I can see this one Solsbury Hill ~ Peter Gabriel (1977) I don't think I'd vote for Peter Gabriel, YS... but I'll nominate "Lady D'Arbanville" - Cat stevens and also "I'm Your Man" - Leonard Cohen

OLD 55
I don't mind Solsbury Hill, but it would depend on what else was nominated. And I must be one of the few who just can't take to Leonard Cohen, who I think is currently touring in Australia. Sorry. I was going to nominate this one this week, but I wonder if it's known outside the U.K. and Australia ? It "bubbled under" in the U.S. Charts at #107 before The Cure ever made the Billboard Hot 100. Love Cats - The Cure (1984)
Yellowsnow
but I wonder if it's known outside the U.K. and Australia ? I think The Cure as well as this song were big throughout Europe. It would get my vote.

skybluesky
Rocky, dude, your lady pushed a living breathing person out of her, so you shouldn't nominate an anti-mother song. Lennon has a lot of positive mojo life and family songs.

I like the song and would vote for it, but I think that particular song would merit a punch in the nards from a woman who just became a mother days ago.
