edna
Also amazing how many cover versions there are. There's only two really tearing versions: the original by A. Alexander and the one by The Rolling Stones. I guess... if I nominate both... it would split the votes ...mainly when it doesn't really gets that many votes each time I nominate one or the other I was planning to nominate "Don't Give Up On Me" - Solomon Burke after I learned he died yesterday... OLD 55
Don't know his version Dear Elena. The Coasters had a minor US Hit with it. Here's one of the most infectious songs I've ever heard. It's the original Denise - Randy & The Rainbows from 1963. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZk_df_sswc Play it a few times and I think you'll say "That blooming Darryl. I see what he means". Blondie covered it in 1978 as "Denis".

OLD 55
I don't know that Cat Stevens' song. I'll have to listen to it a few times. We still have to get 'Lady D'arbanville' into the Ten. Nominate it again, please edna. Here's one of my favorite Soul Instrumentals. It gives me some much needed exercise because it always gets my feet a tappin'.
