Uncle Joe
I'm having swiss cheese on a rye bagel with dijon mustard ans some chips. Perhaps a nice kosher pickle on the side, too.
Elvish
I'm having cheesy broccoli and rice...and although it sounds a bit similar, it's a far cry from Chinese food

skybluesky
I had a peanut butter shake from Dairy Queen. I LOVE peanut butter.
MarcM
That sounds good, Shannon! There is a place where I work that makes peanut butter malts that are really addictive. I just had breaded fish fillets and B&M baked beans. You would think I was a bachelor again...

katie_sane
I feel a craving coming on...now if they were just on a sandwich I haven't had a chip sandwich since I was about 8 years old. Must remember that for next time!
Farin
just so I get this right... we are talking about normal potato chips, yes? and you put them on a sandwich??
katie_sane
Yep, potato chips. All chips are potato We are talking about the chips that come in packets, not hot chips you buy from a fast food place. And you can put them on a sandwich, most people in this thread are rather fond of it I think
Farin
yes, I noticed that... and I meant the chips in packets too, I don't think we get fast food chips here... just allow me this comment: ugh!
katie_sane
You don't have hot chips? No way! Do you call them fries? We just call them chips in Australia.
The Seeker
Chips are crisps, and fries are chips. Either way, both chips and crisps on a sandwich are -- weird? disgusting? I've never tried it, but I don't want to either...
katie_sane
It's okay, just chips (crisps) on bread. Carb overload, but tastes okay. And you've never, say, had McDonalds and put some of the chips (fries) onto your burger? It's not disgusting...just different. I dare you both. Report back with your findings
Farin
You don't have hot chips? No way! Do you call them fries? We just call them chips in Australia. I thought you meant Nachos or something of course we have them, but we use the French name: Pommes Frittes (fried Potatoes)
The Seeker
No, I've never done that...though I've eaten them at the same time. I really can't get my head around the idea of crisps on a sandwich though. Do I really have to take you up on that?
Farin
And you've never, say, had McDonalds and put some of the chips (fries) onto your burger? I repeat my "ugh!" I won't make a fool out of myself and try that in a restaurant...
katie_sane
nope, nachos are nachos here too You use the French name? In Germany?
Farin
well they were 'invented' in Belgium, and there they speak French (at least partly), so we just adopted it I guess that reminds me: in Belgium they eat fries for breakfast
The Seeker
Have you never gone on holiday with your friends and had breakfast at McDonalds? Cheeseburger and chips at ten am.
Farin
yes, sure... but not on a regular basis you have to know that in Germany a "Hot" breakfast is very uncommon
