Levis
If I had seen this film without reading the book I'd probably have given it an 8.5 or a 9 or a 9.5 or something awesome like that.

Carl
Just saw Basterds, and I agree with most of what Blueangel wrote - definitely a different take on WWII and refreshing in its portrayal of Jews. I loved the movie, since it was brilliantly written and filled with unexpected twists. Of course, I'm a big Tarrantino guy. 9/
Uncle Joe
Duplicity---I give it a 2/10...'nuff said.
The Seeker
My uni's screening free movies at the local cinema every night for Fresher's week (at 10pm -- probably to keep everyone out of the pubs ), and last night's movie was Wall-E. I know everyone is completely in love with it but I thought it was... sickeningly sweet.
Levis
this is the first I'm hearing of people (who are not me) being in love with it. It got pretty dismal reviews from what I recall.

TheLizard
Are we so jaded that we can't admit that Wall-E was fantastic? Because Wall-E was fantastic.
The Seeker
I've always associated that movie with you (Tim) And that doesn't have anything to do with my opinion of the movie.
Farin
I don't follow animated movies that much... Pixar was the Disney company, right? or was that Dreamworks? Edited September 25, 2009 by Guest

Shawna
Nosferatu on TV, yesterday evening... 9.5/10 my nephew told me a long time ago that this movie was a must-see. I'm glad you reminded me about it. Maybe I'll make it one of my first Netflix orders.
Farin
compared to horror movies nowadays it's not that scary, but you can practically see in every second scene the influence it had on every vampire movie (or horror movie in general) after it there's also a cool film about the filming of Nosferatu with John Malkovich, where all the actors think that the 'vampire' is just a method actor;) (forgot the name of it though)
skybluesky
It is Shadow of the Vampire I could see John Malkovich as a real life vampire, which might not be a bad thing

Farin
Crikey, that's a freaking scary picture!! in that case I think you should watch the film alone, in complete darkness It is Shadow of the Vampire I could see John Malkovich as a real life vampire, which might not be a bad thing right, that's it Malkovich plays the director though, Willem Defoe is the 'vampire'
Farin
Der Freie Wille ("The Free Will") a difficult movie about a serial rapist, who - after coming out of prison and a "successful" psychiatric treatment - tries to live a normal life, to get to terms with his urges, and eventually falls in love and starts a relationship... (spoiler: don't expect a happy ending) 7/10 lots of fear and self loathing, but also great actors in that one
Kevin
Doesn't he jump over a gate at the end with his child friend cheering him on and become free ?! I'm pretty sure that Killer Whale never raped anyone. Disney should look into this translation as I don't think it took ...!
