Brad_M Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 This song was the first number one song in the UK to have a playing time of more than 4 minutes.
edna Posted November 11, 2014 Report Posted November 11, 2014 What's "Mary's Boy Child"? ...by Harry Belafonte.
Brad_M Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 What's "Mary's Boy Child"? ...by Harry Belafonte. Nope. The LP version of that song was over 4 minutes long, but the single version that hit #1 in the UK was an edited version only clocking in at a mere 2:55.
Brad_M Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 What's "Ina Gadda Da Vida"? :guitar:  Ummmmmmmmm, No.
edna Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 So what's "The House of Rising Sun" (by The Animals)?
Brad_M Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Give that girl a prize! The song also reached #1 in the U.S., but it was an edited version here. The full-length song was #1 in the UK.
edna Posted November 12, 2014 Report Posted November 12, 2014 Thank you, thank you, thank you... Now... I have to think. It's late. Tomorrow...
edna Posted November 13, 2014 Report Posted November 13, 2014 (edited) Maybe but not the one I was thinking of. Mine is a British drummer. Very famous. Edited November 14, 2014 by Guest
edna Posted November 14, 2014 Report Posted November 14, 2014 In fact, one of the most famous rock'n roll bands in the world... All the other members have been busted but now they're restad by society.
edna Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 No, no, no, this one is a sort of a gentleman, married, one daughter called Seraphine (I believe), he likes jazz and plays with the greatest rock and roll band in the world... Ladies and gentlemen...
edna Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 I'm talking about "the greatest rock and roll band in the world... ladies and gentlemen... " Not The Beatles. He's a very cool guy. He must be almost 80 by now...
Brad_M Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 How can you be talking about the greatest Rock 'N Roll band in the world and then say, "not The Beatles"? My next guess was going to be Ringo Starr. I think it's a trick question.
edna Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 Hahaha, Ringo Star was the only Beatle not to be busted... Now, there's another famous British band, not the Beatles, the other band... they have a drummer... and he's also the only member of the band who was never arrested. By the way, the Beatle who was busted more times is Paul McCartney.
edna Posted November 15, 2014 Report Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) The band is still performing... And touring worldwide... Two original members left; singer, guitar and drummer remain. The original guitar player was fired due to drug abuse and died two months later, in 1969. In the swimming pool. No, not Keith Moon. Edited November 15, 2014 by Guest
