Brad_M
Ohhh! Charlie Watts (The Rolling Stones) Why didn't you say the world's 2nd greatest Rock 'N Roll band in the world in the first place?
edna
Because when they perform live you hear a voice announcing: "Ladies and gentlemen... the greatest rock and roll band in the world... The Rolling Stones!"... and then you hear the intro to "Under My thumb" (in the 70s and 80s) or "Start Me Up" (in the 90s). I haven't seen them after 1992. I don't know how they start their shows nowadays.
Brad_M
I think someone palms that announcer a fin for each time he says that.

Brad_M
Who are FireHouse? That is correct, Rayzor! Zabadak, Flaming Youth was not an early '90s band, they were a late '60s band.
Rayzor
WooHoo!! I took a wild jab not knowing when FireHouse even began --------- Easy one: The Rolling Stones receive all royalties to this hit song despite never having recorded or performing it. Brad_M
Sedaka was just a wild guess. I'll post a new answer soon. I tried to google the answer and got nowhere. I almost didn't post that answer after I checked the Songfacts page for the song and it doesn't mention anything about it being about his wife. Where did you hear that story from, Edna? edna
Did I say yes? Oh, sorry, not Sedaka... No female singer cousin either... November has been a very hard month... I meant Neil Diamond, sorry, and "Sweet Caroline". You're up anyways, I'll take my meds and come back as soon as I am better
