OLD 55
Oh dear ! You're all around it, but just can't nail it down. Trouble is, if I give any clues I'll give it away. It's nothing about love life or composers (really) or orchestras. Have a look back through the posts, because a few do "tie up". I hope none of my friends think I'm ignoring them. I haven't been able to get into the "Forum ?" yet.
_Laurie_
ok, how about these songs that relate to Elvis willie nelson wrote you were always on my mind before elvis recorded it Frank Sinatra wrote My Way which Elvis also did...I think lol Engelbert Humperdinck Please release me, before Elvis?... OLD 55
Close enough ! The answer I was after was that Elvis covered songs of which they sang the originals. The Engelbert Humperdinck song that Elvis covered was "There Goes My Everything" (and I'd better say that Frank Sinatra didn't write "My Way" or I'll get jumped on).
