SoulGirl
You took what I couldn't give How am I supposed to live with you And all you do You broke up my train of thought I live with the fear I caught from you And all you do Come and take another piece of me All I have is what you left of me You don't know what you have done It's so hard to carry on for me I'm on my knees You don't know the mess you've made And all those freaky games you played with me I'm on my knees So come and take another piece of me Because all I have is what you left of me Come on, bleed me This is what you do to me All alone you're what I see, I'm blind You're in my mind You will never pay your debt Though I'm trying to forget I find You're in my mind Come and take another piece of me All I have is what you left of me, me, me, me, me Come on bleed me, come on bleed me Come on bleed me, come on bleed me You don't know, don't know what you do to me You don't know, don't know what you do to me, don't know what you do to me. Addictedtoclassic
So sad, depressed, and angry all at the same time. Gisela it's very powerful. Quite the statement...
SoulGirl
yes well as you can probably tell it's written from the heart. thanks for posting btw, first person 12 views later! the music to it is up-tempo, in the style of a cross between pj harvey and kristin hersh. i think it's the best song i've written, all the best ones come from true life. Jenny
Very good. I'm not very familiar with the artists you mentioned as influences, but it seems like an angry song.
CathyF
Wow.. this poem/song reminds me of my last roommate. Long story short... he owed me several months rent, committed various and sundry crimes against me, and the day that he hit me I winded up going to jail for being angry and "out of control" (disorderly conduct) A compulsive liar, paranoid schizophrenic alcoholic, now he's a criminal on the run. I can't believe I ever trusted him. Good riddance! :: (I like your poem - feel like I can relate)
