golden_ann Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Oh man, thanks Lucy for clearing that up. So it wasn't just me! And now that you mention it, they sure didn't do it for Sawyer's either.Gosh, I hope they don't start fiddling with the formula, because thus far it is working great. You know, if it ain't broke...!
lucylooloo Posted November 21, 2004 Author Report Posted November 21, 2004 way to go Lost producers/writers get us into a ritual with each episode then suddenly pound us outta it!
Elvish Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Maybe they are saving some bits and pieces for later episodes. If they answer all our questions about a person with their flashbacks in a single episode, the show would be pretty boring after they go through all the characters, right? Perhaps they will do flashbacks for multiple characters per episode in the future - just a thought.
lucylooloo Posted November 24, 2004 Author Report Posted November 24, 2004 It's a great thought, i was wondering what they where gonna do after they ran outta characters...you think they will have a second season?
golden_ann Posted November 25, 2004 Report Posted November 25, 2004 Oh please, oh please! They have to renew this! It's the best darn show on tv right now in my opinion. And once they get done with the main characters' stories, they can fill up episodes by expounding on all the other no-names that got stranded with them, the ones we don't see but we know are there. I think it was said that there were 41 or 43 people stranded in all. They could introduce us to those. What do you guys think?
Uncle Joe Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 Just a reminder. The show's back on tonight after a one-week lay-off.
Aunt_Acid Posted December 1, 2004 Report Posted December 1, 2004 I think it was said that there were 41 or 43 Funny, I haven't seen them. Then again, I missed the first three episodes.
golden_ann Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Well, yeah, Roger. I think they are insinuating that there are more, but they don't show them because I guess they are like an afterthought while they concentrate on the main characters. But, a few unseen faces did surface on the episode where they erected the golf course. I was like "well, who the heck is this" myself. I was surprised to see them.
TheCyberdemon Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 As they play more and more of their flashbacks, it's playing out like they in purgatory for their sins. After all, the hobbit guy definitely deserves to be there, because he did vote for Kerry after all.
Flibble12345 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Hey guys, only just noticed this post. We haven't got this show in the UK yet i don't think, but is it the one with emilie de ravin in? I think she's playing a pregnant girl. I saw a trailer on the net ages ago and have been waiting for it ever since. Looks good
Elvish Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 is it the one with emilie de ravin in? I think she's playing a pregnant girl. It does have her in it - last night's episode was devoted to her story, flashbacks and all. Is she really Australian?
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 I loved the episode last night. Poor Claire. So is her baby supposed to be the antichrist if she doesn't raise it, or what? Will we ever know? I am really digging Hurley, I can't wait for his episode. You all know I love funny fat guys! Hey Lucyloolooloopdelooloo...I even liked Sawyer in this episode! :: The actor who plays Evan is Tom Cruise's cousin...how cool is that?
SoulGirl Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 aaah now i remember why i never open this thread - i haven't got an iota what you people are talking about! ah well, it's probably come to irish tv in time for when i'm home next year!!
Uncle Joe Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 aaah now i remember why i never open this thread - i haven't got an iota what you people are talking about! ah well, it's probably come to irish tv in time for when i'm home next year!! It's too late now but in the future consider your friends Stateside who would be happy to record and send you the shows.
SoulGirl Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 that's a good idea joe! would there be anyone so kind as to keep a poor little irish girl up-to-date in american culture??! next time a good show like this comes up you'll get some begging posts!!
Flibble12345 Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 It does have her in it - last night's episode was devoted to her story, flashbacks and all. Is she really Australian? Yeah she is really Australian, born in Victoria. I'm a big fan of hers, due to Roswell. Sad I know but I can't help it ::
Aunt_Acid Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 She's the only character I can't stand.
Uncle Joe Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 She's the only character I can't stand. Chris, you crack me up. How'd you get to be such a curmudgeon at such a young age? LOL
Aunt_Acid Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Detroit will do that to a sane white man.
lucylooloo Posted December 6, 2004 Author Report Posted December 6, 2004 Sawyer still rocks my socks. He's awesome. This show is the greatest, it has my Sawyer then it has Emilie De Raven (who use to play on Roswell a show that i was addicted to also, even though i hated her in that series i like her in this particular series), i also love how Booth and Shannon act towards each other, family love eh? Great episode i loved it, i was wondering why that guy was off all by himself i mean he was the only during the entire show actually trying to get food (he has the weird crafted straw basket also). At first i thought he might be "Alex" and might have changed his name...but who knows...I want to see Michael's history (the black guy)...well thats it for now, glad to see people enjoy the show as much as i do!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Anybody see it last night? Joe? Bueller? Bueller? Poor Charlie. I am very worried about the pregnant girl and her baby. They need to get off the doctor and tell us about some of the other survivors.
Elvish Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I saw it! Good episode too... For Chris, me, and anyone like us who hopped on the bandwagon a little late: next week they're rerunning the first two episodes back to back. I missed the first one at least.
Aunt_Acid Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I missed last night's too. Totally forgot. I was excited when I heard the guy was hanged, because I was hoping the Australian girl was dead too. But, alas.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 I was excited when I heard the guy was hanged, because I was hoping the Australian girl was dead too. You sure did miss it, brother.
Uncle Joe Posted December 9, 2004 Report Posted December 9, 2004 Yes, I agree Peaches. Tell us more about the others. It seems that each episode gets shorter and shorter. I guess that's a sign that it's good. I'm always disappointed when the show's over already . And with the re-airing next week of the first two episodes I guess we won't be seeing another new show until Dec. 22nd. I hope. Don't they usually show reruns or specials during Christmas week tho? Aw, I can't wait that long. Ay yo, I'm diein' ova heah! (That was my Al Pacino from Dog Day Afternoon).
