Zabadak Posted September 12, 2012 Report Posted September 12, 2012 They all contributed songs to something except one...
Zabadak Posted September 14, 2012 Report Posted September 14, 2012 Blimey, really? OK - The Band's contribution was replaced. There.
Brad_M Posted September 21, 2012 Report Posted September 21, 2012 I still can't figure it out. Maybe we need a little more of a teensy weensy hint.
Zabadak Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 What can I say to get your motor running? :sing1:
Brad_M Posted September 22, 2012 Report Posted September 22, 2012 Nice hint, Zab! The Band is the oddball. The others all had songs appear in the 1969 film and soundtrack, Easy Rider The band had a song used in the film but it was a cover version of the song that was used on the soundtrack.
Zabadak Posted September 23, 2012 Report Posted September 23, 2012 Thank God for that! Yes, The Band's contri was replaced by a cover by a band called Smith. Next... :partytime2:
Brad_M Posted September 24, 2012 Report Posted September 24, 2012 Alice Cooper Motley Crue Scorpions Styx
Rayzor Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 There's a few differences here... I'll try Scorpions (not American)
Brad_M Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 That would be too obvious an answer. Dig deeper.
Rayzor Posted September 25, 2012 Report Posted September 25, 2012 Scorpions didn't have #1 hit in USA
Brad_M Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 Actually, they did. "No One Like You" was a #1 hit for them on the U.S. Billboard Top Tracks chart (Mainstream Rock) in 1982. Of those four groups, Alice Cooper and Motley Crue are the ones that have never had a #1 song in the U.S. Try looking at album covers of these groups.
Rayzor Posted September 26, 2012 Report Posted September 26, 2012 That was a MASSIVE hint... Styx because they don't show the band on their albums
Brad_M Posted September 27, 2012 Report Posted September 27, 2012 Awww, but they do. The first two albums by Styx showed the band on the album covers.
Brad_M Posted November 1, 2012 Report Posted November 1, 2012 I don't know what else to hint without giving it away. Look at all album covers by each group and take notice of what you see for three of them and what you don't see for one of them.
Zabadak Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Alice Cooper doesn't have a logo as such?
Brad_M Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 Biggest hint so far: Three of these groups have the same type of animal on at least one of their album covers while one of the group's covers do not.
Zabadak Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 Scorpions albums have scorpions, not snakes? :badcomp:
Brad_M Posted November 12, 2012 Report Posted November 12, 2012 Yes! Zabba-Dabba-Doo :happybanana: No snakes on any of Scorpions album covers. All the others had at least one album cover with a snake on it.
Zabadak Posted November 13, 2012 Report Posted November 13, 2012 OK, it's late here so here's an easy one (say what you hear!)... :partytime2: Fire Brigade - The Move Block Buster! - The Sweet White Riot - The Clash Indiana Wants Me - R. Dean Taylor Bombers - Tubeway Army
miamisammy29 Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 Do they all have sirens somewhere in the song...except one? I'll go with "White Riot".
Zabadak Posted November 16, 2012 Report Posted November 16, 2012 Almost - they all begin with sirens except one... :sing1:
Zabadak Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Bored. The answer was Indiana Wants Me :badcomp: Miami Sammy was closest...
miamisammy29 Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Are you sure it wan't "Fire Brigade"? "Indiana Wants Me" does have sirens in it.
miamisammy29 Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 Okay, this should be an easy one. Which one of these songs is the Oddball? Born To Run - Bruce Springsteen Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John Hotel California - Eagles Houses Of The Holy - Led Zeppelin Running On Empty - Jackson Browne Some Girls - Rolling Stones
