Steel2Velvet Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 I'd like to start what could be a fun and informative two line game based on knowing the nicknames of musicians. These nicknames (and not stage names versus real names) should be widely known as earned during the musician's career, avoid obscure nicknames you just made up. For example, this response follows if the clue was: Lady Day Billie Holiday follwed by the next musician nickname as a clue for the next poster, much in the format of the initials game here in this forum. Please try to keep from repeating clues, but with the awareness that there may be the same musician answers, since some have multiple nickmanes. Here's the first clue: The Killer

MindCrime Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Mel Torme (I learned that from when he had a cameo on Seinfeld) Architect of Rock 'N Roll
MuzikTyme Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Hmmm. Many will dispute this answer but, IMHO, it is Little Richard (L.R.) "Ole Crooner"
MuzikTyme Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 Little Richard is the correct answer I thought Little Richard was the "architect of rock-n-roll." He never would have been famous for being a "correct answer."
MindCrime Posted March 1, 2010 Report Posted March 1, 2010 ^ Always the wiseass Question is still: Ole Crooner
Steel2Velvet Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 "Ole Crooner" I've never heard that nickname for a musician before, but I will take a guess and say the oldest crooner I can think of is Rudy Vallee? "Boom Boom"
