skybluesky Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 This is my second favorite movie of all time. I find the choicest lines to be~ Pedro "I'll build her a cake or something" "My Aunt Concha has seen him" Grandma "Knock it off Napoleon! Go make yourself a dang quesa-dilla" Kip "Your mom goes to college" Deb "Your hair looks great today" Napoleon "Boyfriend?" "Bodaggit!" I caught you a delicious bass" "You've been ruining all our lives and eating all the steak"
Shawna Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 "How much you wanna bet I can throw a football over those mountains?" me and my son just finished watching that movie... again.
Batman Posted March 2, 2008 Author Report Posted March 2, 2008 damn, I can't believe I used to like this movie so much.
Ombre Vivante Posted March 2, 2008 Report Posted March 2, 2008 That wasn't Summer at Pedro's party. I think she was his sister.
Foolonthehill Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I never really took a liking to this movie. Too much hype around it for it actually to be enjoyable.
Shawna Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 I never really took a liking to this movie. Too much hype around it for it actually to be enjoyable. That's precisely how I felt when I finally saw "Titanic" after hearing about it for so long.
Tony Baloni Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Lmao, I saw it before there was a ton of hype, so I always liked it. "I wish you would get out of my life and shut up!"
Ombre Vivante Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 It has a good score to boot (and I don't mean the songs that were cut-and-pasted onto the movie).
Ombre Vivante Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Props to Uncle Rico as well... he was in one of my all-time favourite comedies, Real Genius I really WISH it was 1982
Tony Baloni Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Yeah, dude, uncle Rico is legendary. I think the best part about that movie is how real all of the characters are. I think we all know at least a couple Napoleons and Uncle Ricos.
Shawna Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 he was in one of my all-time favourite comedies, Real Genius I really WISH it was 1982 OMG I LOVE "Real Genius"! You're the first person besides me who I've ever heard mention it. Was Uncle Rico Lazlo?
Ombre Vivante Posted March 3, 2008 Report Posted March 3, 2008 Yep, he was Lazlo - the numero uno genius who cracked, but ended up winning most of the prizes AND Sherri (that was Patti D'Arbanville... the Andy Warhol model)
Shawna Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 Besides "Tombstone," "Real Genius" was Val Kilmer's finest hour.
Ombre Vivante Posted March 4, 2008 Report Posted March 4, 2008 I liked him in Top Secret; it may not be up to scratch with other classic 80s comedies, but it wasn't bad. He's also in The Salton Sea, which is a totally crappy movie, but Vincent D'Onofrio, Val Kilmer, and the supporting cast did an excellent job of pulling the movie outta the gutter with their excellent performances.
