OLD 55
Yes, I'd listen to those Ten anytime. Thanks for organising and running this so well, Radhi. And thanks to all of my friends who voted. I regret missing some others' PTTs when I took my 6 months' 'break'.

OLD 55
Thanks Radhi. I see the Troggs' "With A Girl Like You' (18 Points/ 26 with Katie's vote) is currently #1 on the Songfacts Daily AND Weekly Top Tens, which I understand are based on the number of 'hits' on the song in the Main Index. I wonder why ? Has it been featured in some U.S TV show, or are The surviving Troggs on tour there ? Can someone help out please ! When you wake up in the U.S. will do; there's just Australians (one honorary) and Europeans here at the moment.
OLD 55
No takers ? I've PTd Carl to see if he can shed some light.
Lucky
Darryl I googled looking for recent use of the song ... all I found was a recent cover of the song by artist Dave Sitek on a compilation called "Dark Was the Night" , a charity release for AIDs/HIV fund raising and awareness. I wouldn't think that would have done it ...? See Here
OLD 55
Thanks Lucky. As you said, I don't think that would be enough to have people suddenly hitting on The Troggs' version here. I thought some popular American Idol contestant might have sung it on TV - or something like that. I even googled to make sure Reg Presley hadn't died suddenly. That's always a great career move for a while.
OLD 55
No, Carl doesn't know why either. Thanks Carl.
katie_sane
I know why maybe! Because of the movie 'The Boat That Rocked'. The song 'With A Girl Like You' features in the movie and on the soundtrack, which is currently sitting atop the Australian charts and is also the #1 album on iTunes. OLD 55
Thanks Katie. I'll renominate it after everyone's seen the Movie. Val and I might see it this Thursday.
