MindCrime
John McCrea True Story - back in 1997, I was standing outside a grocery store with my friends and we saw this guy who looks exactly like him, right down to his hat. We asked him, "Are you the lead singer of Cake?" and he said "Come to the show and find out!"

MindCrime
I doubt it was him though, because they're from Sacramento, which is quite a ways away. Unless they were doing a show here around that time.

LeeBB
Actually, MC said that it *wasn't* Michael Hutchence, so Levis gets the prize. Yay!!! That is indeed a quite young Hutchence, I'd say a couple of years before INXS went big outside Australia, maybe about the time Nile Rodgers produced "The Swing" album. I remember a big outdoor festival in 1982, and the final night's line-up was Pretenders, Talking Heads and INXS. They were all great, as you'd expect, but Michael and the boys just blew the others off the stage. What a night!! LBB
