She worked in a number of restaurants and gourmet food shops, had cooked on the Today show, had three Food Network series before Oprah had anything to do with her. Her show is terrible, she makes her guests feel uncomfortable, spends most of the interveiwing time on advertising various things, sticks out her tongue way too much, and has really bad recipe ideas (e.g. Macaroni & Cheese with Almonds ?)
