  1. Also the actor Tab Hunter had a version of it too. It was the #1 song the day I was born. However, I prefer the Sonny James version myself...

  10. Time is on my side, yes it is?--The Rolling Stones
  11. Roots. I remember they did a funny miniseries called "Fresno" that centered around the raisin industry. It was supposed to be a spoof of prime-time soaps. I watched it all, but never cared for it. They reran it later with a laugh track, and that made it worse.
  12. 1803 President Thomas Jefferson buys Louisiana from Napoleon, therefore increasing the size of the United States.
  13. Hands down, I would have to say Reba McEntire's mangling of the Everly Brothers' "Cathy's Clown" has to be one of the worst cover versions anywhere! My parents were country music fans and whenever they heard her horrid version, they switched the station!
  14. I like Lesley Gore's "Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows." It was her shortest single, running just over 1½ minutes, and it was written by a young Marvin Hamlisch.
  15. West Virginia musical legend Hasil Adkins has died.
  16. "Rock & Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" from AC/DC's "Back in Black" is one of my all-time favorite album closers.
  17. I preferred Maynard Ferguson's version myself? How about "Beatnik Fly" by Johnny & the Hurricanes?
  18. Mexican Radio Free Europe (Mexican Radio--Wall of Voodoo)+(Radio Free Europe--REM)
  19. I'm Too Sexy Eyes (I'm Too Sexy--Right Said Fred)+(Sexy Eyes--Dr. Hook)
  20. My three favorite remakes? Baby It's You--The Shirelles/Smith (late 1960's band fronted by Gayle McCormick) When Will I Be Loved--Everly Brothers/Linda Ronstadt You Better Run--The Young Rascals/Pat Benatar Of course the three remakes are far better than the originals?
  21. The Heat Is On Broadway (The Heat Is On--Glenn Frey)+(On Broadway--The Drifters)
  22. Here's a review of T. Rex's "Electric Warrior"? Im not an angry person bashing any old music. Im a musician bashing this bullfunk. Seriously, with all the good reviews on this page, they must be hopped up on cocaine. Im a huge 1970's fan myself and this is out of control. Please spare your self the $40.00 or 17.00 and buy something else. Like good blues if your into blues. Cause this is irritating. Peace out you crack fiends
  23. Hurt So Bad--Little Anthony & the Imperials
  24. I'm part English, as my last name is the phonetic spelling of the British pronunciation of the occupation from which it's taken. I'm part Scottish, as my mother's last name is the Scottish word for church. I'm also part German, as there is someone with the last name of Holstein in my family tree. I'm also part native American, so they say?
