  1. That's odd SuzyEarthAngel, you seem to speak pretty normal when I read your postings... My favorite words, "I'm just saying", or "GIT-R-DUN"! I'd like to hear an Aussie say that...
  2. Glenn Frey and Don Henley are one of the better pairs. You can't go wrong with John Lennon and Paul McCartney and even throw George Harrison into that mix. Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young always sound good together. And you also have Paul Rodgers, Burton Cummings, Jim Morrison, the singer from Shinedown (who did a phenomenal remake of Skynyrd's Simple Man), I also like Eddie Vedder and Sting. I'm sure there are other great vocals out there (as much as I like Skynyrd, the Van Zant brothers are not the best vocals, but they are perfect for Southern Rock).
  3. I love buying the Greatest Hits albums and reading the inside CD sleave. It's always full of useful information and lots of interesting stuff concerning the band. The Eagles "Very Best Of" CD has a whole bunch of information about the history of the band. So does Lynyrd Skynyrd "Thyrty". How else do you find out about the behind the scenes items that no one really talks about...?
  4. This could be the next Stairway To Heaven. Someone go find Psychocatholic so we can perform an exorcism!!! And we will perform it repeatively until we get that putcha thing out of her mouth. The world could be doomed!
  5. It wouldn't be a Daft Punk song would it? Abercrombie seems to play them a lot.
  6. What the f--- is that bulls---? Lynyrd Skynyrd gets screwed again? As if Skynyrd didn't make enough impact on the world of rock 'n roll with songs like Sweet Home Alabama, Freebird, Simple Man, Workin' For MCA, Curtis Loew, Things Goin' On, Saturday Night Special, Call Me The Breeze, One More Time, do I need to keep going with this?
  7. You're writing is wonderful and your boyfriend should adore his Christmas gift. Just remember to keep that horse out of Harvard.
  8. Do you think Paul Rodgers can make a medley containing "Feel Like Making Love" and "We Are The Champions"?
  9. I'm not an Elvis fan, never was, probably never will be. But I love the Beatles. It's a pretty good debate, but what side do you choose?
  10. We're not posting insults, we're only posting opinions. Everybody has the right to one, and they like to share them freely.
  11. It was originally written as another deep thought of mine. I haven't transformed it into anything else. Oh, and the first line, was read by my principal at my High School graduation. That is an Aaron Huss trademark saying... All rights reserved, patent pending. ::
  12. Another profound thought of mine. Some may find a little inspiration in it. In life, you build the roads you walk on You construct your bridges to overcome your challenges You fail, but only to become more learned for the next time You win, but never give it a second thought Cause another challenge is just ahead You can take it in stride with your head up high You can try to ignore it only to be destined to fail For you may never win unless you first fall Cause every failure is a lesson to be learned And only the smart ones will survive in this world For life is nothing more than failure and success And success never comes without a price No regrets and never look back Never second-guess yourself You may lose this time But there?s always a next So build your bridge with what you have learned And know that it was built by your own hands For the greatest feeling of lifelong success Is achieved when you pass life?s little test
  13. Another poem from myself. Written a couple years ago. The meaning is pretty easy to figure out. For some reason I feel like sharing my writing on the weekends. In all that is right, and all that is wrong Our mind always questions, what is going on We do what we do, and say what we say We all seem to do it, our own unique way Do not question, the people around you They are only doing, the things that they do A precious quality that we hold very dear Is being ourselves when others are near I hold out my hand while you shun yours away But I?ll continue this action, every single day You may not know, or may not admit When you need a hand, just ask for it You say that I?m wrong for being so kind But something is screaming in the back of your mind Maybe you need, just a little help But your pride will not allow your feelings to be felt A smile upon my face as I slowly walk away But keep an open eye for that upcoming day When you know this is me, and know that is you And learn to accept, the things that I do You may not agree, and think that it?s wrong But you?re glad that I have now come along Your journey through life as you stumble and fall As we continue to walk, down that great hall The hallway of life with so many doors You open them up, but stare at the floor You?re afraid to enter, and leave the way You?ve lived your life, every other day You watch as I open, and run through them all But always return, to my friend in the hall So join me today as we walk hand in hand I?ll show you a new route back to the land Follow me now, as we walk through the crowd The opposite direction, as they?re yelling aloud Why do we continue, to do what we do Because we?re a little different, just like you
  14. No it's not the best song ever. It may be a very monumental song and a definite legendary song for Led Zeppelin, but that doesn't make it the best song ever. The song carries a meaning that is hard to find and it also carries a lot of controversy. In my eyes, some of the best songs are those that aren't heard quite as often. It's just like Freebird. So many people think Freebird is along the lines of Stairway To Heaven when it comes to Lynyrd Skynyrd, but it is in no way their greatest song.
  15. "Beep beep, beep beep The horn went beep, beep, beep" "How do you get this car out of second gear!" Didn't Bob Saget sing that once on that show with him and John Stamos...?
  16. I've submitted some lyrics for Charlie Daniels Band but I haven't seen them posted yet. Of course that's country rock and not like Toby Keith or Travis Tritt country. I like Toby Keith's song about the terrorists and 9/11. I wish someone would post thost lyrics.
  17. Another tick from my words on life... Life is a joke that just hasn?t stopped laughing You cry when you?re born and laugh when you die Isn?t it funny that you never got to do the many things that you always wanted You never got to be the person you wanted to be You never go to have the things you wanted to have Sometimes we feel alone when we?re in a crowded room Then one day you wake up and think about how life could have been How life should have been How life would have been Had you just made the right decisions and things would have been so different You return to places of forgotten memories or forgotten people Or memories that you wish you could forget Memories that you wish would stay locked away in the back of your mind The land of ghosts that haunt you every time you return You walk down paths and the ghosts return Haunting your spirit as they had done so long ago Drawing you back to places you do not want to be Sometimes life can be a personal hell as you struggle to find your stairway to heaven No one can point you in the right direction You have to choose that road yourself You try to laugh at the people around you Knowing that they too are trapped in their own consequences Consequences, unavoidable no matter what you do You make every decision with some sort of recourse But you never know what it will be until it happens Then you look back and want to change your mind But you can?t, you can never change your mind For changing your mind is really just making a new decision with new consequences Will it be good or bad Will you hurt someone along the way We all hurt someone along the way It is the only way to achieve peace with ourselves But it?s the level of hurt that makes that achievement harder Because you then have to live the rest of your life knowing you hurt someone else If we cannot come to terms with these types of consequences then how will we ever come to terms with ourselves You cannot love another unless you love yourself You cannot live with another unless you can live with yourself You cannot be with another unless you can be yourself It all comes down to ourselves You are the only one that can make up your own mind You are the good, you are the bad, you are everything in-between But until you can figure that out, you?re just another lost soul trying to make its way through an empty life
  18. My vote would have to be for Ashlee Simpson and her massive amounts of talent she has hidden... somewhere... and her ability to perform live just like on SNL. Maybe she'll sing us a lick or two at the Grammy's with her blow-up sister.
  19. The song would be "Workin' For MCA" and by the way, Cassie Gaines was Steve's sister, not his wife. But, YOU ROCK! I can only hope one day to meet Johnny and the crew, although front center stage at the concert last year was pretty cool when Johnny bent down and smack our hands as we held them up to the stage.
  20. I've never seen anyone patted down, they've always used the hand-held metal detector and scanned it across the entire body. Since when did they start patting people down? Or is this different for different airports?
  21. I heard about the Sponge-nappings, and was wondering. What would someone want with a 6 foot Spongebob Squarepants...?
  22. I don't think I would even have enough music to fill 20GB of space on an MP3 player. You could go days without hearing the same song twice. I also notice that they sell a 40GB one, good Lord that's huge.
  23. Oh my God, I just noticed that Paul McCartney is going to be in the Super Bowl halftime show. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY! Hopefully he doesn't have any costume failures like we had last year. Not one of our better moments in the US.
  24. If you want to know when your favorite Classic Rock band will be coming to a venue near you, check this site out... Classic Rock Tour Schedules This is a listing for almost every classic rock band on tour and where they will be all over the world. I wish Bob Seger was on the list...
  25. "flat out" is equivalent to "without a doubt". But for Jr it means "I'm being sarcastic because I can".
