  7. Exactly what I thought too! I was gonna post it but I thought someone else must have cause it's so obvious.
  8. Hi, I need some help with another song I heard on late night radio. I only remember the chorus that went something like: Why'd you call me girl? Ring my phone at 3am, yeah I know you've been with him, But, no more, no, no more. I think it's a newish song and it's a male singer kinda R&B-ish. He sounds a little bit like Sleepy Brown (the guy on the chorus of OutKast's The Way You Move). Any ideas?
  9. Otis Redding by Everclear Otis Redding by Sara Evans The Night Shift by The Commodores mentions Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson but by first name only. For The Love Of You by Joss Stone mentions "a D'Angelo song". The chorus in Slow Jamz by Twista mentions heaps: She said she want some Marvin Gaye, Some Luther Vandross, A little Anita, Will definately set this party off right. She said she want some Ready for the World, Some New Edition, Some Minnie Ripperton, And definitely set this party off right Of course there's lots of tribute songs if you want them.

  13. Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So many to choose from! A few of my favourites are: When I Was 17 - Frank Sinatra Not to be a stickler but if you're looking for it the title of that song is "It Was A Very Good Year" Really? I've only ever seen it as When I Was 17. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Oh my gosh, that is it, thank you so much! It's the first song someone has found for me on here, and I didn't have much hope, but you did it! Thanks again!

  17. What type of music are you into? If you like soul, Move On Up by Curtis Mayfield always does it for me. If you like R&B, Millionaire by Kelis featuring Andre 3000 is good. If you like hip hop, try Ghetto Musick by Big Boi of OutKast, Break Ya Neck by Busta Rhymes or Party Up by DMX. Or if you like dance music there's a newish song by The Freestylers called Push Up that might get you pumped up. Good luck with the tennis.
  18. Basketball by Master P or Lil' Bow Wow always gets me in the mood for some b-ball.
  19. Hey, here's another song I heard on late night radio that I have no clue who it's by or what it's called. It's by a female and it's more spoken word than rapping. The lyrics I remember are: ....you even convinced me to take the chemicals out my hair.... I'm sick of dating rappers, MCs, DJs..... and some stuff about gold teeth, groupie hos, female DJs, guest list, your mama's house.... It's not much to go on but if anyone knows it that would be great cause it was a really interesting song. Thank you.
  20. Thanks everyone for your help, with no luck though. I guess I'll just have to hope to hear it on the radio again and get more of the lyrics. Thanks again.
  21. Thank you so much for taking the time to search for my song! I thought people on this site just helped with songs they knew, I didn't realize they went out and searched for hours for them! I think I pretty much covered everything I know about the song in my first post........um........it was made to sound old but it still sounded kinda new, if that makes any sense? It sounded kinda soul/jazz. And it repeats the same lyrics about twice and then it's finished. I only heard it on late night radio, I'm not even sure of the station I was on, so I can't connect it to any movie or show......sorry this is all so vague. I was hoping that somone would know it just off the top of their head, because I've searched everywhere for it with no luck cause the lyrics are so common. It's not looking too promising is it? Anyway, thank you again for trying to help!
  22. Hi, I've been after this song for weeks now and I can't find it anywhere. I did find this site though which gave me a bit of hope of finding someone else who knows it. I have no idea of the artist or title but it is a slow song by a female singer and it's not that long and it was possible released in the last 10 years, I'm guessing. The only lyrics I remember are: I walked out to the sea today Just so I could find love I found out then that........ So very blind The sea The sea Any help would be great, cause I really like the song and I would love to dowload it. Thank you!
