  1. BF I had no idea I liked 'Til Tuesday, til now
  2. I had a very good relationship with my last manager, we found a common interest in music, when he commented he liked a certain song that he couldn't find. I happened to have it at home, so offered too help him out. From then on we chatted over e-mail at home as well as at work. He visited the depot I worked at every day and we would chat for at least 30 minutes daily, as well as phone calls throughout. Although that was as far as it went, there was a mutual attraction that we both had talked about, and had our situations been different (both in relationships although mine was ending), the potential was there for something more than we already had. After family bereavement and ill health, I was signed off from work for just over 6 months to recover and in that time I slowly realised that the situation with him was not good for me or my job. That was a major contributor in my decision to leave that job. I never went back from sick leave, and handed in my resignation letter on my last day of full pay. There can be advantages, but the disadvantages can also be huge as I found out. I haven't learnt though, but that's a whole other story....
  3. ^ Totally agree...a bit of playfulness is excellent. The more the better - I love physical affection with a partner, and the more sneaky it is the better, sometimes being a bit risque in public is all the more fun

I didn't think the finale was that brilliant, I was really looking forward to it but didn't live up to my hopes! Good ending though.
  5. I agree about public displays of affection, a little is ok, but too much can be embarrassing for those around them. When in a relationship I'm totally enveloped in the man I'm with. Sharing is the best part!!!

  7. OH MY GOD! I listened to that this morning before work to cheer me up!! That was 10 hours before you posted Joe! Spooky!
  8. Just like most other recent years from what I know. People that are generally needed - the Personal Coach was bound to come up due to everyones appearance obsessions.

We have the last two episodes from series one airing tonight!
  10. I have got a nice memory after all, I'll just forget about the bit that followed afterwards. Sitting on the edge of my bed with someone I was involved with, after a nasty arguement between us, instead of storming out, he sat on the edge of the bed with his arm around me, and explained why he was angry. We lay on the bed, and for the first time he was affectionate towards me, and I finally realised what he was actually capable of being, that the image he projected wasn't totally him.
  11. Except smooching in an erotically charged thunderstorm!
  12. If I were to begin life again, I would devote it to music. It is the only cheap and unpunished rapture upon earth. Sydney Smith There is nothing in the world so much like prayer as music is. ~William P. Merrill Men profess to be lovers of music, but for the most part they give no evidence in their opinions and lives that they have heard it. ~Henry David Thoreau Music is the mediator between the spiritual and the sensual life. ~Ludwig van Beethoven I have my own particular sorrows, loves, delights; and you have yours. But sorrow, gladness, yearning, hope, love, belong to all of us, in all times and in all places. Music is the only means whereby we feel these emotions in their universality. ~H.A. Overstreet My idea is that there is music in the air, music all around us; the world is full of it, and you simply take as much as you require. ~Edward Elgar Alas for those that never sing, But die with all their music in them! ~Oliver Wendell Holmes Music is your own experience, your thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. ~Charlie Parker
  13. All deep things are song. It seems somehow the very central essence of us, song; as if all the rest were but wrappages and hulls! ~Thomas Carlyle If the King loves music, it is well with the land. ~Mencius Without music life would be a mistake. ~Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche Take a music bath once or twice a week for a few seasons. You will find it is to the soul what a water bath is to the body. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes If a composer could say what he had to say in words he would not bother trying to say it in music. ~Gustav Mahler Why waste money on psychotherapy when you can listen to the B Minor Mass? ~Michael Torke And the night shall be filled with music, And the cares that infest the day Shall fold their tents like the Arabs And as silently steal away. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, The Day Is Done He who sings scares away his woes. ~Cervantes Music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and curl my back to loneliness. ~Maya Angelou, Gather Together in My Name Were it not for music, we might in these days say, the Beautiful is dead. ~Benjamin Disraeli Music is what feelings sound like. ~Author Unknown

    Rate the Food!

10/10 that sounds delicious.... I'm trying to be healthy as I weigh in on Thursday, so I've had sugar snap peas and cherry & cranberry sparkling water (2litres actually...)
  20. Lots of movies scare me even if the genre isn't horror! I get scared of plain old car crashes and have to change the channel, I don't make a habit of watching any horror...but the last I remember - Se7en scared the pants off me.
  21. Might be worth a listen. I saw them in concert in 2003 and it was a fantastic experience - quite a small crowd compared to where the usually play. I should listen to them more, I'd forgotten how much I liked them!

    Bird York

Just had to bump this one up, I've been listening to Bird York again tonight, and still think she is amazingly talented. If you have seen the film 'Crash', you will have heard her song 'In The Deep'.
