MuzikTyme Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 Heh!... Talk about boring...I'm a carpenter who knows much about boards.
_Laurie_ Posted July 12, 2008 Report Posted July 12, 2008 I was sitting in the parking lot at the grocery store and all of a sudden some guy comes whipping into the parking row ahead of me, and he rammed right into the car next to the spot he was pulling into...he then pulled back out, thinking nobody saw him and parked at the other end of the parking lot, and went into the store...just about a minute later the owner of the car that got hit came out and saw the side of her car all smashed in...I got out and told her he parked at the other end, and he's in the store right now....she was so grateful that someone saw what happened she offered to give me money, I told her no she didn't have to do that, she kept insisting on it, but I wouldn't take it...She then shoved it in my purse...so I didn't argue after that....
Steel2Velvet Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 Good karma will come your way.... But that guy is in for a good portion of dark happenings ...
Shawna Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I at once applaud you, Laurie, and wonder why you were sitting in the parking lot...
MuzikTyme Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I was wondering myself...BTW, I'm self-sufficient that way...
_Laurie_ Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I couldn't find my keys!!!...LOL...No, actually I was waiting for my daughter to get out of work....
Steel2Velvet Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I at once applaud you, Laurie, and wonder why you were sitting in the parking lot... I don't know about Laurie, but at my age and income level, parking lot loitering qualifies as a "good time."
Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I used to work at a truck stop and we called the ladies that hung out in the parking lot "lot lizards".
Steel2Velvet Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 musical interlude Lonely Girls - (Ian Tyson/Sylvia Fricker) Light there is golden in the evening Blue shadows forty feet and more When night comes rushing fast 'cross the flatland you'll see Lonely girls linger by the door Lonely girls linger by the door Linger and listen by the doorway Lookin' down along the fence post line To the highway beyond where the headlights roll on Followed by a low diesel whine Followed by a low diesel whine Diesels' siren song of the prairies Has a strong pull that never lets go Diesels sing of bright spots with colours running wild Follow me where the evenings overflow Follow me where the evenings overflow
Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 ^ Excellent interlude. And btw, I am now changing my last name to Fricker.
Steel2Velvet Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 Sylvia wrote the biggest hit of We Five, "You Were On My Mind."
Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 I didn't realize I knew that song, but I do! And I like it! You go, Ms. Fricker!
Lea Posted July 13, 2008 Report Posted July 13, 2008 ^ And btw, I am now changing my last name to Fricker. 10P Fricker?
_Laurie_ Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Although, I probably would get more than 20 bucks....
Tenacious_Peaches Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 20 bucks and all the salami you can eat will get a girl far in life.
Steel2Velvet Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 20 bucks and all the salami you can eat will get a girl far in life. There's something lurking in this post between two women that, if read by someone who doesn't know those women well enough, might seem very .. uh .. weird. ... not that there's anything wrong with that!
Ken Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 "Diving" with my niece in the pool. Got back to the "surface" and she said "Thats the best fun I've ever had.", then planted one on my cheek. THAT sure as hell sweetened my coffee.....
_Laurie_ Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 I can't see it!!!..I'll have to wait until I get home...
Shawna Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 20 bucks and all the salami you can eat will get a girl far in life. or... perhaps 20 bucks for all the salami she can eat?
