OLD 55
hmmmm... and to think, the two times I've been late, I didn't even make the shame board. Maybe I should go in the corner and wear a dunce cap. Maybe I'll do it anyway and try to start a new fashion statement. Shawna, we (I'm sure I speak for all the red blooded men here) can't wait for you to post a Pic of you wearing just the cap - I hope I read that right. That will be a real fashion statement. No need to go in the corner - we want to see your pretty face.
OLD 55
I think it's a good Top Ten ! I'm very pleased that Rock Around The Clock made it. It's also nice to see a different Act at #1 (even though I was thinking of Keep On Running when I voted for Gimme Some Lovin' - both great songs). I'm really surprised we haven't had a Spencer Davis Group song in our Ten before. Thanks for all the great work again Farin. We really appreciate the effort you put into running the Top Ten and keeping the Archives - always a great read.

katie_sane
ELO and Steely Dan make for a great top ten. Even though none of my noms made it, I'm still very happy with this list

Farin
This is a Public Service Announcement! (with guitar) :guitar: Last week we asked, how you'd like a new "NO - #1 artist's Top Ten" We got few "Yays" and no "Nays" so it's official You better think of some good songs now... But, I'm sure you won't have any problems with that...
edna
What do you mean "NO #1", please?
Farin
just like we did a few weeks ago... We'll EXCLUDE all nominations of artists who have been a #1 in our Top Ten's before... that would include: AEROSMITH The ANIMALS The BEACH BOYS The BEATLES Chuck BERRY CREAM CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL DEEP PURPLE The DOORS Marvin GAYE Jimi HENDRIX Billy JOEL Ben E.KING The KINKS The KNACK LED ZEPPELIN Joni MITCHELL The MONKEES PEARL JAM PINK FLOYD RIGHTEOUS BROTHERS The ROLLING STONES SIMON & GARFUNKEL SPENCER DAVIS GROUP STEVE MILLER BAND Cat STEVENS Rod STEWART The WHO so NO nominations by these artists/groups I hope that clears things up a little... edna
Oh, fine...! This way my late sixties dark one-hit wonder nominations might have a chance to get some 22 points or so...
Farin
or a 90's Superhit would have the chance to barely scrape the Top Ten...

Farin
Yes of course! just for Top Ten #39! this is NEVER going to be a permanent rule, only for the occasional Top Ten, to spice things up a little... and we'll always tell you a week in advance and at the start of the Ten

Judo
Maybe another top ten for 90's only, not the next please.
