Farin
alright, then I don't want to stay behind... I sing this song almost every monday I don't like mondays ~ Boomtown Rats The silicon chip inside her head Gets switched to overload. And nobody's gonna go to school today, She's going to make them stay at home. And daddy doesn't understand it, He always said she was as good as gold. And he can see no reason 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to be shown? Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down. The telex machine is kept so clean As it types to a waiting world. And mother feels so shocked, Father's world is rocked, And their thoughts turn to Their own little girl. Sweet 16 ain't so peachy keen, No, it ain't so neat to admit defeat. They can see no reasons 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to be shown? Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down. All the playing's stopped in the playground now She wants to play with her toys a while. And school's out early and soon we'll be learning And the lesson today is how to die. And then the bullhorn crackles, And the captain crackles, With the problems and the how's and why's. And he can see no reasons 'Cause there are no reasons What reason do you need to die? Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. I want to shoot The whole day down. (children: please don't try this at home)

edna
I have two ways to avoid Monday´s syndrom, and both work for me. 1) I love life, I love people and I love to see how life goes on, day after day, week after week... even if I have to work or worse, I know every day that starts is a blessing for me. I feel alive and very much "into" the world on Monday mornings... and after all, it s just five days till Saturday... 2) If first statement doesn´t work -which is rare, but anyways...- then I decide Sunday will continue till Tuesday morning. I know, it sounds stupid, but most of the things I do can be done on Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning. In France, they start the week on Monday afternoon, they are aware of how much energy a country can lose when people isn´t motivated.
Uncle Joe
On Mondays the weekday-only Songfactors (like Ten Pea usually) return. That's nice.

Malakin
Ken, I don't consider that a Monday morning.. it's a vacation morning. When you're on vacation, who cares what day of the week it is?
Blue Fish
Man, Mondays get a bad press, they are very importent for getting the days rolling onto Saturdays and sundays, they are therre to mantain the balence between work and play...It is now a Friday, did everyone manage to refrain from leaping into water or eating paper to enrich their Mondays? my monday was good, i knew it was only 5 days until i see my Mom again, now it is only one. edna
Glad you agree, Ken... and hope it can help! Most of my friends say I´m fooling myself... but no, really, it works for me...
