Carl Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Hi. It wasn't your computer - we were down for a while this weekend. The folks who host these boards are really good, so downtime is rare, but they moved us to a new server and I failed to properly transfer the DNS for the subdomain. Appologies for the problem, but now I know how to properly transfer the DNS for a subdomain.
TheLizard Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Yeah, I have no idea what all that techno-jargon means, but it's good to know it wasn't my computer.
Ken Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 You can do this without transfering the DNS for a subdomain, but it involves dilithium crystals, and a process that can only be done at warp speed.
Shawna Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 You can do this without transfering the DNS for a subdomain, but it involves dilithium crystals, and a process that can only be done at warp speed. But only if you deal a full Fizzbin, and not a shralk.

I don't know which is geekier: the fact that you used a Star Trek reference, or the fact that I recognized it as a Star Trek reference?
edna Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I´m afraid not, Shawna, it has not been proven yet.
Kevin Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I'll give you Mediterranean Ave. and Connecticut for Vermont and the Water Works ...
Kevin Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Yes , there's a problem , Carl . If you try to edit a post - even within minutes after it - you will get a message saying this is not possible due to time or logging in , etc .
edna Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 (edited) I´m trying to edit a post to see, cause I haven´t had this kind of trouble... yet... Editing without trouble... But there´s something strange... I am the only one online, but when I check "Who´s online now" there are many people... there´s also "0 anonymous users online"... which is really strange... The Seeker Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I don't know which is geekier: the fact that you used a Star Trek reference, or the fact that I recognized it as a Star Trek reference? Let's be geeks together...I immediately had an image of Scotty in my mind when I read Ken's post.
TheLizard Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I'm givin' 'er all she's got, Cap'n!
The Seeker Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 There was this sketch by some comedian that I thought was really funny...it went something like this: (part of anyway) "Scotty, how long do you need to fix that?" "At least twelve hours, Captain." "I'll give you six." "It'll be done in two!"
