c_s_1987
Indeed - TheTallOne helped it out at the end there, but unfortunately he really needed to give it 13 points for it to stand a chance.

Steel2Velvet
Strong list. Good to see Van runner up with a song that helped define a time. Sympathy For The Devil helped define a band. In the late 60's, Dusty Springfield defined the quality standard for cross-genre musical stylizations. I felt "Rainbow" the weakest on this list. Never think of that song when thinking of the Stones. Malakin
Yeah, I honestly can't imagine how rainbow made it on there above almost all of the songs that didn't make the list other than blind devotion to the Rolling Stones.. And let's be honest, if you're going to be blindly devoted to a band, it should be the Beatles or Zeppelin, not the Stones.

Boo! } She's A Rainbow is one of very few songs that I loved from pretty much the first time I heard it. I consider it very strong musically. I don't really care much about lyrics, so they aren't much of an issue to me. I also assure you this has nothing to do with my Stones bias . edna
Yes, cs is right... Boo! "She´s a rainbow" is just beautiful... Steel2Velvet
Yes, cs is right... Boo! "She´s a rainbow" is just beautiful... I wish the Stones would have made more songs like this one instead of "Satisfaction" or "Street Fighting man"... So now we "boo" one another when their opinion is different from our own? "She comes in colors everywhere; She combs her hair She's like a rainbow Coming, in colors in the air Oh, everywhere She comes in colors Have you seen her dressed in blue See the sky in front of you And her face is like a sail Speck of white so fair and pale Have you seen the lady fairer Have you seen her all in gold? Like a queen in days of old She shoots her colors all around Like a sunset going down Have you seen a lady fairer?" After further review: I can see the error of my statement about it being the weakest on the list. I'm just having a hard time finding the correct one. CanAm
I was disappointed in the list, because I think many songs which made the list are inferior to many which did not. However, I certainly do not boo any of the selections or the people who made them. One of the things that makes Songfacts great is the diversity of musical opinion. Besides, if everyone liked the same songs as everyone else, it would be a boring world.

I did that because of people criticising songs that I don't believe deserve to be criticised. Everyone has the right to their own opinions, but I do believe criticism should only be used in moderation, and only when it is really deserved. And besides, don't take things so seriously - I wasn't really angry or anything . Edited September 4, 2006 by Guest
c_s_1987
I also apologise for the double post above and the fact that I incorrectly attributed a Malakin quote as one from Steel2Velvet, but for some reason I can't edit the post.
