Uncle Joe
The discussion in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame thread concerning whether or not Miles Davis ever performed or recorded with Jimi Hendrix gave me an idea. Certainly we'd have liked to have experienced that collaboration. So, what collaborations that never were would you like to have seen occur? For example, I think that Frankie Valli and Lou Christi would've made for an interesting (if funny) collaboration. Lets concentrate on rock/classic rock/pop, etc. Serious or humorous, no matter. Go ahead.
daslied
Good topic, Joe. I'd vote for these: Sam Cooke & Stevie Wonder Sam Cooke & Aretha Franklin Beatles & Rolling Stones John Lennon & Elvis Costello Rufus Wainwright & Jeff Buckley Jeff Buckley & Sarah McLachlan Tom Waits & Andrea Bocelli Kidding on the last one, of course. bluesboy
How about a concert of Janis and Etta James, then closing the show; both of 'em sharing the stage for a few songs. or Watching Bob Marley and Eric Clapton do - I Shot the Sheriff together. or More than just one cut from Jimi and Stephen Stills. or Just like the movie Field of Dreams, but instead of old baseball players coming back, have old blues players coming back and jammin' with Eric Clapton trading licks.
