edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Kevin, I´m on the PC and I did just as Katie said. Put my name, THEN clicked on the "outside US" box and a box appears where you must put your city. I just made it... but I won´t be able to see it on mac anyways... and I am working on this one...
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) Back on mac... I can´t see my name though I do see it on the PC... strange things... Kevin, do you want me to try on the PC for you? I can write your name and your city... and see what happens... Edited October 19, 2005 by Guest
Kevin Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Well , I can see your name ( you have to scroll down after foxy ) ... but it won't work ..!"#$% Oh, well , I'm used to this sort of thing on MAC ...
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 If you want I can add you there, Kevin. You won´t see nothing but the others will see you...
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Oh, well , I'm used to this sort of thing on MAC ... Yes, we mackers are a minority...

invisible_r Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Kevin, I don't think learning greek would be that easy, unless you are good with languages of courses. it's quite a difficult language i think, my boyfriend had finally joined a class to learn it properly as i can't be bothered to teach him.
Kevin Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Oh , I agree with you , Invisible -- very tough , but I meant it as an option to try --like a hobby , just to pick up some useful things to say . It seemed to me , though, that many younger ( under 60 ) , educated Greeks were able to deal with people in English quite well , so I didn't think he'd have to -- don't really think Marc would seriously consider it , though, anyway. I think I was projecting my own ideas onto him ... Taverna culture is the life for me !
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I don´t know in Greece, but in the nice places on the beach in Spain you don´t need to learn Spanish. You need English or German... .
invisible_r Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 well most of the people in the spanish beaches are british anyway same with places in greece. but yeah, we speak good english!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Whenever I click on the Frapper it says that it's under maintenance and to check back in 5 minutes. I've been trying for 45 minutes. WHY CAN'T I SEE ANYTHING THIS MORNING? :beady:
Earth-Angel Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I've been getting that too since I added my location I broked it.
Levis Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 So I've added myself... let's see if you have the patience to find me!
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I added the place where I was born as it´s so far... I thought it would be funny to have many different places we come from... I won´t add France as it´s near Spain... after all, I live in spain. Sue, I guess we´re the most Southern SFrs...
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 We´re more Southern than Katie, I checked it already...
Levis Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Oh... oops! Never underestimate Edna's research!
invisible_r Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Ok, I can't do it, it keeps saying invalid city when I type london. what am I doing wrong?
edna Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Are you on Mac, Rachel? Kevin and I have trouble with it too. I looked at it on the PC, it won´t work on macintosh, it seems...
MarcM Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Greece would be cool, but talk about a big change! I could be happy sitting in a cafe looking over the water, sipping espresso and smoking a cigar. Hawaii is very nice, and I have even priced houses there. The cost of living is too high there, though. A lot of people that live there work 2 and 3 jobs just to make ends meet. I guess it would be the ideal place to be if you had to be homeless, with the nice weather and all.
Uncle Joe Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 We´re more Southern than Katie, I checked it already... edna, dear....Our friends from Australia are about as South as you can get. And don't forget SteelToVelvet who is in Brazil.
Kevin Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Ahh , but Joe , don't you think the Queen Emperor Penquin may have them all trumped ?
