OLD 55 Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Posted September 18, 2005 Thanks Brad, but I think you're all doing a great job ! This is a toughie you've posed here. Could it be "out" ? Gary U.S. Bonds, "School Is Out" James Brown, "Out Of Sight" Darryl Hall/John Oates, "Out Of Touch"
Brad_M Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 No, that's not it, Laurie. You're on the right track, though. It's a common link between songs. Current question is: What do these Artists have in common?: Gary U.S. Bonds James Brown Darryl Hall/John Oates
Brad_M Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 Our posts crossed, 55. Congratulations, Darryl They all have the Out connection! I guess that means, "you're up", Old55! Yeaaaaaaaaaaa!!
OLD 55 Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Posted September 18, 2005 Ah Brad, we're mentally in tune. Thanks Mate. One quick question. You all know I'm an Elvis freak and devour everything I can read or any TV Documentaries, etc. on him. Most of you would know that he had a twin brother, Jessie Garon Presley, who was stillborn 35 minutes before Elvis on January 8 1935. Their parents gave Elvis the middle name Aaron to rhyme with Garon. Anyway, here's a question for you. Another very well known performer, older than Elvis, was also a surviving twin. Elvis became friends with him/her when they met in Las Vegas. Maybe someone knows this? If you don't, please have a guess (or a google) anyway at who it was. If someone does know it, please go ahead and start another question when you've answered it. Goodnight All.
_Laurie_ Posted September 18, 2005 Report Posted September 18, 2005 (edited) YOU'RE AN AWESOME CONTESTANT 55! good job Edited September 18, 2005 by Guest
OLD 55 Posted September 18, 2005 Author Report Posted September 18, 2005 Thanks Laurie, but I still think I'd rather be asking the questions rather than trying to answer them. The answer to "who was also a surviving twin?" is one of the most flamboyant performers of all time !

Brad_M Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Never mind. I think Shawna has the correct answer with Liberace.
OLD 55 Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 Liberace? WELL DONE SHAWNA ! Just imagine 2 Elvis's and 2 Liberaces performing !
OLD 55 Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Posted September 19, 2005 Sorry I wasn't around. I've just gotten home (lunch time here almost). Maybe I'll come back full time later in the year or early next year. But the questions you guys and gals are asking are very good ones. Carry On !
Shawna Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 wow... really? "Flamboyant" was the word that got me. Once again, I defer to Brad to come up with a new question. I truly suck at this stuff!!!
Brad_M Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Ok, thanks Shawna. I'd love to help. Here is Shawna's question. What do the following Artists have in common? Neil Sedaka Barry Manilow Steve Perry
_Laurie_ Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 Sedaka...Oh Carol Manilow...Oh Julie Perry...Oh Sherrie
Tenacious_Peaches Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 It's turned into anarchy around here. We've got common links questions in this thread, the Jeopardy thread is just like this thread, and Old Fitty is answering questions in his own trivia contest. I feel like Rachel, but LET'S FOCUS HERE, PEOPLE! Let's post the correct questions in the correct threads. Thank you, The Management
_Laurie_ Posted September 19, 2005 Report Posted September 19, 2005 (edited) Songfacts has gone MUSICALLY MAD!.....oops is this pic in the wrong thread? Edited September 19, 2005 by Guest
OLD 55 Posted September 20, 2005 Author Report Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) Hi Peaches. I must have a look at the Jeopardy thread. Of course the Common Links was a spinoff from the original of this thread, so we make no apologies there. Someone have a go at Brad's question ! Sorry Laurie, I didn't notice you had. You're a beauty. Edited September 20, 2005 by Guest
