Karhul
thanks for that link, but this is about Led Zeppelin, not just stairway, though its their best song, and its the best song ever!!!
Aunt_Acid
Stairway is overrated. How about Battle of Evermore? Kashmir? Led Zeppelin rocks, nonetheless. And while we're on the topic, does anybody know (or have the slightest idea) what time signature The Crunge is in?
cosmosis
and I just had the perfect playlist going. Anyways, I'm going for the slightest idea. I think most of the song is on 4/4 but everything is off-beat, then ther's a part where it seems like a beat is missing so I guess 3/4?? That's my slight idea

_jr_
thanks for that link, but this is about Led Zeppelin, not just stairway, though its their best song, and its the best song ever!!! I just thought you'd like to see some other's thoughts before taking over. We have, believe it or not, talked about Zep before you got here. And I believe you're the one who started a thread saying "Isn't Stairway to Heaven the best song ever?" Again, I was merely pointing out that we discussed that already. If you had taken the time to look around, rather than be concerned only with what you had to say, you'd have known that. Welcome to Songfacts. bluesboy
I've got about 15 Zep shows. Cosmosis, I'll trade for your Seattle That Fillmore 4-29-69 is a "early" soundboard, I think. It takes a few minutes for the sound level to get dialed in, but yes I believe that's a "raw" soundboard. I'll have to go look it up...

_jr_
Ok, I'll say this once more. If you had taken the time to look around, you'd have known. It was only one or two pages back. And I suggest you learn the meaning of the word prejudice before using it.

MindCrime
Does anybody know what album "Hey Hey What Can I Do" was originally on? I'm updating all the tracks ID3v2 tags as their original album direct from the Box set. I read somewhere that it first appeared as a B-Side on 1990's Immigrant Song E.P. single. I can't seem to find the correct info.
_jr_
I have some spotty facts about this, MC. While stationed in Germany (83-85), I had a room mate that was crazy about Zep, and I distictly remember him being all jazzed about that song being released, because he couldn't get it anywhere. Now I know he had all Zep's albums, and it wasn't on any of them, that's why he was so excited about getting it. So, I suppose it wasn't originally released on any album. That's all the info I have. MindCrime
Jrow, this was in the mid 80's ?? I read on AMG that it was first released in 1990, now I know this isn't correct. I'll have to label it as a Box Set release, until I find out the right answer. Thanks for the insight.
_jr_
I don't remember if it was being 'officially' released or not, all I remember is my roomie being very happy he was getting the song.
MindCrime
Well the song had to of been recorded prior to 1979 as it lists Bonham in the credits. I wonder why they waited so long to release this.
cosmosis
It was either a single or a b-side. It's now available on the Coda CD with other 3 extra songs. HTH
