Uncle Joe Posted January 15, 2005 Report Share Posted January 15, 2005 It struck me that I've been playing CD's for so long that I had to really furrow my brow and think hard to remember which were double albums on vinyl. Some came to mind immediately while others took some real "way back machine" thought. I have several favorites but rather than list them here I'd like to ask a question. Why do CD producers make double CD's? All of the music can usually fit on one CD. Is there a sound reason other than greed? A technical reason? Also, one of the things I liked about double albums was that we got more by way of liner notes, lyrics, photos, etc. when we bought one. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
